Town of Henry
The Henry Board of
Trustees met at the Finance Office on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 7 o’clock p.m.
with President Gordon Van Sickle calling the meeting to order. Present for the
meeting were Trustees Don Larson and Peggy Bastian, Finance Officer, Judy Kos,
visitors, Roger Widen and Mark O’Neill.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and were approved
as read by motion of Bastian and second of Larson. The liquor profits for the
month of October were Windmill Cafe, 600.80, Henry Steakhouse, 504.40 and Two
Twelve One Stop, 393.77. The lottery
commission paid was Henry Steakhouse, 127.09 and Two Twelve One Stop, 59.54.
Motion by Bastian and seconded by Larson to allow the
following claims:
General Fund: J. Kos sal. 632.62, R. Walford, sal & exp.
142.35, Watertown PO, proc. 65.48, Menards, mdse. 54.91, GS Sanitation,
October, 900.00, Northwestern, elec. 588.22, SD Municipal League, dues, 357.96.
Water Fund: J. Montgomery, 92.35, Forest Excavating, line
repair and Clark Rural Water, October, 1,383.75.
Sewer Claims: Northwestern, 35.21, D. Krueger, 184.70, K
& P Pump, repairs, 242.86, Runnings, 1.49 and Russ’ Standard, diesel,
16.30.
Liquor Claims: Sodak Dist. 3,042.37, Johnson Brothers,
2,637.81, Carlson Brothers, 2,323.00, Ellwein Brothers, 5,804.95, Porter,
155.00.
Report was given on the delinquent water and sewer bills
that have been paid. Finance Officer
directed to write more letters in regard to collection.
Roger Widen met with the
board in regard to the plowing of snow pass his place and to affirm
responsibility of water line repairs.
First Reading was given to
Ordinance 220, an ordinance raising the cost of collection of garbage to $14.00
per month plus sales and city taxes. Second reading will be given December 5,
2005.
The Board approved replacing the photocell with a timer
switch at the Henry sign. Van Sickle reported that the park had been
winterized. Van Sickle announced that the Christmas lights would be put up
November 30. Larson reported that no estimates had been received as yet on the
resealing of the streets.
As this concluded all business, Larson moved for
adjournment, seconded by Bastian.
