The February 7,
2005 meeting of the Henry Board of Trustees was held at the Finance Office with
President Gordon Van Sickle calling the meeting to order. Present for the meeting were Trustees Lindy
Swedeen and Don Larson and Finance Officer, Judy Kos.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and were
approved as read by motion of Larson and second of Swedeen. The liquor profits for January were 212 One
Stop 236.30; Halfway Cafe, 367.08 and Henry Bar, 231.30. The lottery profits were Henry Bar, 52.04
and 212 One Stop, 33.37.
Motion by Swedeen and seconded by Larson to pay the
following claims:
General Fund: Harland Checks, deposit slips, 20.27;
Al Benck, labor and expense, 89.90; Judy Kos, salary, 573.36; Rick Walford,
salary and expense, 145.35; NWPS, electricity, 786.31; Vince Foley, 4th
quarter, 75.00; Dept. of Rev. water samples, 132.00; Mac’s, tape measure,
10.00;Watertown Public Opinion, proc. 86.45; Menards, shovels and bulbs, 82.92;
Russ’ Standard, fire truck oil changes, 182.15; US Postal, envelopes, 210.85
and Dacotah Bank, loan, 1,623.08.
Sewer Fund:
Mike Rawlins, labor, 184.70; NWPS, elec. 62.67 and K & P, contract
renewal, 100.00.
Liquor Fund: Carlson, 1,530.40; Johnson, 1,453.37;
Sodak, 1,196.53 and Ellwein, 3,596.45.
Second Reading was given to Ordinance 216, an
ordinance regulation the removal of permanent structures from and moving of
structures within the Town of Henry.
Those voting aye, Larson, Swedeen and Van Sickle. Those opposed: None, therefore the President
declared the ordinance duly passed.
Discussion was held on the present garbage ordinance
and garbage billing. Motion by Swedeen and seconded by Larson to begin city
billing of the garbage on April 1, 2005. Garbage billing will be included on
the water and sewer bills and payment will be mandatory per the present garbage
ordinance. The monthly fee for residents will be $11.00.
Motion by Swedeen and seconded by Larson to accept
the 2004 Annual Report. Motion carried.
Trustees agreed to renew the sewer maintenance
contract with K & P for one year at the rate of $100.00.
As this concluded all business, Larson moved for
adjournment, seconded by Swedeen.
