Harriet
A. Kittelson, 97,
Watertown, formerly of Hazel and Henry, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, in a
Watertown care center. She was the widow of Elwin Kittelson.
Funeral
services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Grace Lutheran Church at
Watertown with the Revs. Vickie Brown and Kris Brown officiating. Music will be
provided by organist A.J. Sherrill, soloist Gilbert Kittelson and Mrs.
Kittelson's grandchildren.
Burial
will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery at Henry. Honorary pallbearers will
be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Active
pallbearers will be Ken Kittelson, Dan Nelson, Doug Kittelson, Dalen Roe, Tony
Kittelson and Todd Sandal.
Visitation
will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel at Watertown today (Monday) from 4 to 8
p.m. and Tuesday prior to services in the church. The family is requested to
meet in the church Tuesday at 10 a.m. to attend the services.

may be directed to Our Savior's Cemetery Association.
She was
born Sept. 25, 1906, near Florence to Hagbert and Alma (Swanson) Muller. She
was baptized and confirmed in the Grace Lutheran Church at Watertown. She
attended rural school near Florence. She worked for various families doing
housework, baking and miscellaneous tasks.
She
married Elwin Kittelson Dec. 27, 1928, in the Grace Lutheran Church at
Watertown. Following their marriage, the couple lived on a farm near Henry. She
remained on the farm following her husband's death until moving to Hazel in
1977. She resided there until moving to Watertown in 2001.
She was an
active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of rural Henry and the Happy
Homemaker's Extension Club. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her
grandchildren, making bread, cooking, canning, quilting and gardening.
She was
preceded in death by her husband and one son, David.

her husband Don Roe of Hazel,
Karyl Anne
and her husband Bill Sandal of Philip,
Floyd and
his wife Donna Kittelson of Watertown,
Gilbert
and his wife Joan Kittelson and
Albert and
his wife Gail Kittelson, all of Henry;
one
daughter-in-law: Phyllis Kittelson of Watertown;
two
brothers, Justus Muller of Estelline and Glen Muller of Willets, Calif.;
three
sisters, Evie Johnson of Watertown, Agnes Jensen of Sioux Falls and
Lorraine
Keeney of Sun City, Calif.;
thirty
five grandchildren;
one
hundred five great-grandchildren; and
nine
great-great-grandchildren.
