Joan
Boehnke attended the week-long “Science on the Move” in Brookings this past
week. On Tuesday evening, she met Luanne Warren in Sioux
Falls and they visited Sheldon Foster at Sanford Hospital. She also visited with Arlene Sharp while
there. Joan returned home Friday
afternoon.
Alice
Bruns was among those that attended the bridal shower for Melissa Rawlins
Sunday afternoon at the Henry
Methodist Church.
Tom
and Beth Kos of Omaha, NE spent the weekend at the Terry Kos home.
Tom and Beth participated in the Hospital Hill Run and Walk on Saturday morning
in Watertown.
Tom won the 10k run for his age category.
Lisa
Bludorn of Mitchell and Emma Sattler of Watertown
were weekend guests at the Dale and Ruth Bludorn home.
Wes
and Betty Holida of Naples
were Wednesday luncheon guests of Arlen Swedeen.
Vickie
Burchatz and Cindy Wientjes of Watertown, Kathy
Wookey of Clark,
Cheryl
Hovde of rural Vienna, Jackie Mc Neil of Warner
and Donna Kittelson spent Thursday and Friday in Fargo, ND.
Diane
and Kailey Eidsness went to NeSoDak Bible camp by Waubay on Saturday and
visited with Laura Eidsness who is a camp counselor at the Family and Friend
camp. They returned Sunday afternoon and stopped by the Henry Community
Building and joined other
members of the Eidsness family who were enjoying the Eidsness family reunion.
Bret
and Karen Henricks of rural Waverly hosted a family supper on Saturday evening
at their home. Those attending were Tom
and Beth Kos of Omaha, Brian and Kathy DeJong
and family of Watertown
and Terry and Judy Kos. The families celebrated Terry and Judy’s 45th wedding
anniversary.
John
Boehnke and friends traveled to Minneapolis
this weekend and took in the Twins’ baseball game on Saturday and Sunday.
St.
Paul Lutheran church in Henry held its annual Mission Festival and potluck
dinner on Sunday morning. Pastor
Jonathan Werre of Sioux Falls
was the guest minister.
Lavern
Reinhart was a Sunday evening supper guest of Arlen Swedeen.
Danny
and Bonita Sharp were Saturday morning coffee guests of Betty Keyes in Clark.
Arlene
Sharp is a temporary resident at Jenkins
Living Center
in Watertown.
Family members state that her recovery is going very well and after a short
period of therapy she will be returning to her Henry home.
Helen
Van Sickle and Maxine Haugom of Watertown
accompanied Gordy Van Sickle to the Stadem family reunion near Bryant on
Saturday afternoon.
Lisa
Bludorn of Mitchell and Emma Sattler of Watertown,
Steve and Cindy Anderson, Josh and Amy were Sunday dinner guests at the Dale
and Ruth Bludorn home.
Wouter
and Kerri Synman of rural Naples
entertained several of the neighbors on Tuesday evening. Calvin and Lois Schoepp were among those
attending.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson visited Albert Kittelson at Avera
Heart Hospital
in Sioux Falls
on Saturday. Albert Kittelson suffered a
heart attack on Friday and was taken by ambulance to Sioux Falls. As of Sunday is condition was
improving and he may be home shortly.
Fain
and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed supper out in Watertown
on Tuesday evening.
Tony
and Genie Swartz and family, Gene and Louis Wilson and Fain and Roxanne Geiger
were Sunday evening supper guests at the home of Glen and Connie Wilson.
