Toni
Goodall, Hayley and Travis
were Tuesday evening visitors at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home.
The
Henry United Methodist Women met Wednesday evening at the home of Deb Engels at Derby Downs in Watertown. The group’s shepherdess, Marge Alwin was a guest. She spoke to the group about the
different projects the women undertake within the Methodist organization. The next meeting will be July 16th
at the church with Rita Hoch
as hostess.
Calvin
and Lois Schoepp watched their granddaughter, Lindsey
Miller participate in a softball game in Huron on Wednesday evening.
David
and Emily Winnett from St. Peter MN spent the week
with their grandparents, Dale and Teresa Peterson while their dad, Cody Winnett attended Youth Leadership Forum, in Aberdeen. While at the
Forum Cody received the Richard “Dick” Hicks Leadership award for his
leadership and dedication in helping disabled youth in the state be leaders too.
Cody Winnett is a year 2000 graduate of Henry High School
and presently works for the State of Minnesota.
Cody is the son of Dale and Teresa Peterson.
Alec Heustess of Watertown also spent the weekend with his
grandparents, Dale and Teresa.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson attended the softball and
baseball games in Clark on Tuesday in which
Zach and Savannah Hovde, their grandchildren
participated.
Sunday
morning, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church held their worship service outside in the
church yard with many members of the Prairie Star Parish attending from Henry,
Hazel, Vienna, Willow
Lake and Clark.
Following the church service a potluck dinner was held.
Dan
and Dorothy McDowell of Hill
City spent from Wednesday
until Monday at the Wendell and Alice Bruns home. Dorothy is a sister of Wendell. They were
joined on Friday evening by Harland and Mary Bruns of
rural Bruce and Rick and Cindy Bruns of Bradley and
Erin Bruns of Lake Preston.
LeRay and Andrea Swedeen and family were
Friday evening supper guests at the home of Arlen Swedeen.
Kelby and Toni Goodall and family and Fain
and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed supper out in Henry Friday evening.
Dale
and Teresa Peterson, Shaina and Issabelle
Winnett and Cody, David and Emily Winnett
enjoyed a BBQ at the Charlie and Nikki Heustess home
in Watertown on
Friday.
Donna
Kittelson attended the Christen Kettering and Chad
Clausen wedding Friday evening at Grace
Lutheran Church
in Watertown.
Later Donna was joined by Floyd Kittelson for the
reception and dance at the Watertown
Event Center.
Last
Tuesday, Joan Boehnke met the staff from Hillcrest
Colony for lunch out in Watertown. The group welcomed the new Hillcrest teacher,
Amber Cluts of Watertown.
Lynn
and Barb Hartley and Aubrie Hartley attended the 35th anniversary party
honoring Jon and Dianne Rider in Hazel on Sunday afternoon.
Jean
Lian of Garden City called at the Joe and Elsie Young
home on Thursday evening.
Calvin
and Lois Schoepp attended the 92nd
birthday celebration of Lola Alexander at Wookey’s
Assistant Living in Clark on Sunday afternoon.
Hayley and Travis Goodall spent Saturday
night with their grandparents, Kim and Deb Jorgenson in Watertown. The Goodall
children returned home on Sunday afternoon.
Kathy
Wookey, Cody, Stephanie and Bridgett of Clark were
Saturday overnight guests at the Floyd Kittelson
home. On Sunday they accompanied the Kittelsons to
the outdoor church service and potluck dinner at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Joe
and Elsie Young attended funeral services for Elsie Chilson
in Florence
Wednesday.
David
and Emily Winnett left the Dale Peterson home on
Sunday and will spent the next week at their grandparents, Bob and Jo Fox in
Watertown.
Arlene
Sharp is still a patient at Sanford Hospital in Sioux
Falls but the family states there is a possibility she
may be released from the hospital this week.
Emily
Bastian of Mitchell spent the weekend with her parents, Ron and Peggy Bastian.
Lola
Nelson was released from Prairie
Lakes Care
Center on Friday after
being admitted the previous Monday with a kidney infection. Lola is well
on the road to recovery and is happy to be out of the hospital and back out
camping.
