Several local and area residents attended the Memorial Service for Lyman Wookey in Clark on Tuesday evening.

 

Arlen, Joan, John and Stephanie Boehnke attended the wedding and reception for Tucker Frederick and Lindsay Lonning in Aberdeen on Saturday.  They returned home on Sunday.

 

Gladys Berens of Arizona and Donna Kittelson were Memorial Day guests at the home of Rick and Vickie Burchatz.

 

Roxanne Geiger visited Sally Luvaas Friday afternoon.

 

Jessica, Naomi and Carter Langdeaux were Memorial Weekend guests at the home of Mike and Lola Nelson.  Jessica and children flew in on Thursday from Ft. Bragg, NC and departed early Tuesday morning.  A joint birthday party was held on Saturday for Naomi, who recently turned 6 and Carter who will be 1 year old in June.  Numerous family members and friends attended the birthday party held at a local restaurant in Watertown.

 

Connor and Adam DeJong of Watertown spent Sunday with their grandparents, Terry and Judy Kos.  Their parents, Brian and Kathy DeJong and sister, Kayla were supper guests later in the evening.

 

Connie Wilson and Fain and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed supper out in Henry Friday evening.

 

The summer softball games have started in the area and that means a lot of traveling for grandpas and grandmas.  Donna Kittelson began the season by attending a softball game on Tuesday evening in which Kayla Burchatz participated.  On Friday evening she attended Jordan Burchatz’ game and on Saturday she watched Zack Hovde of Vienna play with the Clark Teeners in Milbank.  Gladys Berens also attended the Milbank game.

 

Mike and Lola Nelson recently spent a day in Granite Falls, MN on business.

 

Friday evening, Wendell and Alice Bruns joined Harlan and Mary Bruns of rural Bruce, for supper in Watertown.

 

Joel Ulschmid has recently purchased a new house and moved it unto his lot. The old house was destroyed. The new home is a very pleasant addition to our town.

 

Jill Flood of Hazel and Donna Kittelson accompanied Ann Galbraith and the ladies of the Bryant Catholic Church on a tour and lunch at the Mother of God Monastery in Watertown on Wednesday.  They also toured Evergreen Assistant Living and Bennett Place.

 

Floyd Kittelson attended the 50th anniversary of Ray and Marj Muller at County Inn in Watertown on Saturday.

 

Helping Ruth Bludorn celebrate her birthday at her apartment on Wednesday were Burdette and Phyllis Solum, Marcene Aaker and  Elenor Solum-Nuttbrock all of Watertown, Ann Aaker, Elkton, Laurie Maag, Melissa and Kyra Tschakert of Florence and Mandy and Lawson Lodmel of Warner.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall and family joined Fain and Roxanne Geiger for supper out in Henry Saturday evening.

 

Vickie Burchatz and Donna Kittelson attended the Campaign Rally with Hillary Clinton at the Extension Building in Watertown on Thursday.

 

Lynn and Barb Hartley, Jenna Hartley, and Adam and Laci Hartley and family camped at Wylie Park in Aberdeen this past weekend and attended the Saturday wedding of Tucker Frederick and Lindsay Lonning.

 

Kathy Wookey of Clark spent Sunday fishing with Floyd Kittelson.

 

Sunday noon Ashley Bruns, Karyn and Kendra Christensen of Watertown brought lunch out for a cook out at the Wendell Bruns home.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall and family were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Fain Geiger home.

 

On Sunday, Ron and Peggy Bastian assisted Emily Bastian in her move from the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University  in Mitchell to an apartment.

 

Doris Coyle of Watertown accompanied Helen Van Sickle to Henry on Monday morning to join in the celebration of her birthday. Those helping Doris celebrate were Roma Rawlins of Clark, Helen Van Sickle of Watertown, Cokey Johnson, Lois Schoepp, Judy Kos, Gordon and Loydeen Van Sickle, Dick O’Neill, and Jerry and Carol O’Neill.

 

Sunday afternoon visitors at the apartment of Dale and Ruth Bludorn were Janelle and Kelsey Bludorn of Vermillion.
