Birth Announcement!  A baby boy, Max Patrick, was born on April 16, 2008 to Ryan and Lindsey Martinson at St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen. Max weighed in at 8 pounds and 8 ounces and is twenty inches long. Max joins one sister, Grace.

 

Birth Announcement!  Congratulations to Terry and Tonia Gardner on the birth of their daughter, Alexis Rae on April 12th. Alexis weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces and joins two sisters and one brother at home.

 

 

Wilbur and Marlys Johnson of Strandburg were Friday evening visitors at the Terry Kos home; they also enjoyed eating supper out in Henry.

 

Chrissy Bastian of Watertown and Marcia and Sarah Montgomery attended the Watertown Prom Grand March on Saturday evening to see Jane Seifel and her date.

 

Deloris O’Neill and Danny and Karrie O’Neill of Watertown joined Jerry and Carol O’Neill for breakfast out on Saturday morning.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall, Hayley and Travis were Thursday supper guests of Fain and Roxanne Geiger.

 

Joan Boehnke and Ruth Boehnke enjoyed supper out in Watertown Friday evening.

 

Myron, Diane and Kailey Eidsness attended the Northern State University Award and Scholarship Ceremony in Aberdeen on Sunday. Their daughter, Laura was the recipient of Northern State University scholarships. Darlene Audus of Clark accompanied the Eidsness’ and visited her sister, Delores Hales in Aberdeen.

 

Donna Kittelson attended the String, Sing and Swing concert in  the Watertown High School cafeteria on Thursday evening.  Her grandchildren, Jordan and Kayla Burchatz were members of the group.

 

Wendell Bruns visited his mother, Violet Winemiller at the Golden Living Center in Clark Sunday morning.

 

Ron and Peggy Bastian and Emily and Virgil Bastian joined Randy and Lynette Pearce of Wamego, KS at Clay and Aimee Bastian’s home in Brookings on Saturday. The families enjoyed opening Clay and Aimee’s wedding gifts.

 

Joan Boehnke attended the monthly meeting of the Courier Classics 4-H Club in Clark Sunday evening.

 

Several local families attended visitation and funeral services this past week for Darwin Krueger. Darwin and his wife, Gail moved to Henry in 1999 and Darwin worked for the city several years.

 

Dave, Becky, Mara and Brenna McElroy of Sioux Falls spent the weekend at the Don and Rose McElroy home.

 

Darrel Nelson, Marlene Rider, Marie Dally, Helen Van Sickle and Bill and Pat Moe all of Watertown and Terry and Judy Kos enjoyed supper out in Henry on Saturday evening.  Later they were coffee guests at the Terry Kos home.

 

On Sunday, Fain and Roxanne Geiger, Kelby and Toni Goodall, Hayley and Travis, LeDene Geiger, Lynn Geiger all of Henry, Monty and Jackie Geiger of Faulkton (Tierra’s Godparents) Jason and Julie Bartels and family of Bemis, Jason and Carla Dahl and girls of Strandburg, Joel and Kathy Rhody and family of North Dakota, Rhoda Wellnitz and family of Watertown, and Earl and Alyssa Rhody of rural Clear Lake attended Tierra Rhody’s confirmation in Clear Lake at the United Methodist Church. Following the services, Earl and Alyssa served lunch to the families in honor of Tierra’s confirmation.

 

Sunday afternoon, Wendell and Alice Bruns met Scott and Andrea Meyer and their granddaughter, Amber Bruns all of Mitchell for supper out in Brookings.  Later on the Bruns visited Harlan and Mary Bruns of rural Bruce.

 

Vickie Burchatz and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown Watoma Replays on Friday.

 

Brian and Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Terry Kos home.

 

Diane Kludt hosted the Henry United Methodist Women on Wednesday evening at her home. The ladies covered several business topics including the continuation of plans for the September County Fair.

 

Joe, Nicole land Karli Sharp were Sunday evening supper guests at the Danny and Bonita Sharp home.

 

Donna Kittelson was a Friday evening visitor at the Bryan and Cindy Wientjes home in Watertown.

 

Vince Wencil, Harvey Bue, Ted and Lisa Lane and Dr. Ed and Ann Larson enjoyed supper at Arlen Swedeens and later the group enjoyed a jam session.

 

Jack and Marilyn Henning of Watertown and Calvin and Lois Schoepp drove to Kranzburg for supper on Sunday evening.

 

Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown Prom Grand March on Saturday evening.

 

Joel Montgomery attended the Marine Corps League Midwest Spring Convention in Watertown this past Friday and Saturday. This event, hosted by the Local Detachment, consists of seven states and was attended by approximately 135 members. At this convention, Joel was recognized as he completed his term as Commandant.

 

Irene Redmond and several of the Martinson family members drove to Aberdeen on Wednesday to welcome their new grandson, Max Patrick Martinson.
