and Audrey Luken, Herman and Pat Luken and Lois Grygiel treated Joe and Elsie
Young to supper at the Drake Motor Inn Tuesday evening in observance of Elsie’s
birthday.
Joan
Boehnke attended the “Taste of Home Cooking School”
Thursday evening in Watertown.
Rodger
Redmond and Irene Redmond attended memorial services for Elinor
Flury Saturday at Cornerstone
Methodist Church
in Watertown. Elinor was a former
resident of Graceland Township before moving into Watertown.
Becca Bjerke underwent appendectomy surgery
Friday at the Prairie
Lakes Hospital. She has returned to her home.
Travis
and Hayley Goodall returned
to their home on Saturday evening after spending time with their
Great-grandparents, David and Sylvia Drake of Revillo
during their mother’s recovery from surgery.
St.
Henry’s Catholic Church served First Communion to Harlee
Mitchell, daughter of Steph
Raasch and Roger Mitchell and Kyle Smith, son of
Roger and Bonnie Smith at Sunday morning services. The church also honored the
seniors, Shantel Gassman
and Jon Redmond who will be graduating from Henry High School.
Following services a pot luck dinner was served.
Bailey
Hyland of Ramona spent from Friday until Sunday with her grandparents, Lynn and
Barb Hartley, and from Sunday night
until Wednesday at the home of Adam and Laci Hartley.
Gary
and Kathy Young helped celebrate Elsie Young’s birthday with pizza out in Watertown Wednesday evening.
They were accompanied by Travis and Jodie Young and family also of Watertown.
Jill
Flood of Watertown and Donna Kittelson attended
the Taste of Home Cooking School on Thursday evening in Watertown.
Laura
Eidsness, who is attending Northern State
University, spent the
weekend at her Henry home and celebrated her 19th birthday.
Anna
Hartley of Garden City and Jenna Hartley of Watertown were Saturday afternoon visitors at
the Lynn Hartley home.
Kelby and Toni Goodall enjoyed a grill out
at Fain and Roxanne Geiger’s home on Thursday evening. On Friday evening the
Geiger’s were grill out guests at the Goodall home.
Loydeen Van Sickle visited at the Joe and Elsie Young home on Thursday
morning.
Terry
and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner guests at the rural Waverly home of Bret and Karen Henricks.
Sunday
afternoon, Joan Boehnke attended a bridal shower in
Hazel for Lindsay Lonning, bride-to-be- of Tucker
Frederick.
Sandra
Schaack and Sharon Burchatz
attended the Saturday wedding of Jennifer Henrichs to
David Le Captain in Fond De Lac Wisconsin and
the reception and dance at Osh Kosh, Wisconsin. The ladies
enjoyed seeing Ronald Henrichs, and his children,
Jennifer, Casey and Jeremy and their great nephew, Landin
Henrichs. They also visited with Carol”Popham-Henrichs”
Oppermann and her husband, Wayne along with Stacy Oppermann and her family. On the way home they stopped at Somerset, WI
and had dinner with the Roger Newman family at their ranch. They spent Sunday
night with Mrs. Richard (Eileen) Newman. Eileen and her husband, Dick were
friends of “Jug” and Ione Henrichs. Other Newman
relatives came to Eileen’s Springfield,
WI townhouse to visit with Sandra
and Sharon.
Kailey Eidsness, along with other Henry High School
students, participated in the music contest at Watertown High School
on Saturday.The group represented Henry with duets,
vocal solos along with instrumental selections.
Dave
and Jackie McNeil and family of Aberdeen
were Friday overnight guests at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.
Jean Lane, Carol Henry, Gail Kittelson and Helga Myers, representing the
Utter Bar, at the State Bowling Tournament were unable to return to their Henry
homes on Sunday due to the large amount of snow that was received in Aberdeen.
Dean
Alexander was a Sunday evening visitor at the Joe Young home.
Ronnie
and Peggy Bastian attended church services in Mitchell on Sunday, accompanied
by Emily Bastian. Following lunch,
they attended the Dakota Wesleyan Basketball Banquet. Congratulations to Emily Bastian for receiving the JV Player of the
Year.
Donna
Kittelson, along with several family members attended the Region III music
contest in Watertown
on Saturday.
Pat
and Irene Redmond enjoyed the potluck dinner at the Catholic Church on
Sunday. Their grandson, Jon Redmond was
one of the Senior Class members being recognized.
Barb Hartley and granddaughter, Bailey
Hyland attended bridal showers Sunday afternoon in Hazel honoring Lindsay Lonning and in Garden City in honor of Denae
Bina ( bride-to-be- of Kyle
Stern).
