Patty Blue, former Henry resident joined Bonita Sharp for lunch on Friday.  The Blue family now lives near Iroquois.

 

Tim and Lori Page attended the High School graduation reception for Derrick Barse on Sunday at the First Baptist Church on Sunday.

 

Eleanor Van Sickle of Watertown and Calvin and Lois Schoepp attended the Poker Alice Band Friday evening in Watertown.

 

Jan Boettcher of Watertown and Donna Kittelson enjoyed lunch on Wednesday with Jill Flood at her Watertown home.

 

Ron and Peggy Bastian drove to Kansas on Wednesday for the wedding of their son, Clay to Aimee Pearce.  On Thursday they attended the wedding rehearsal and later hosted a rehearsal supper at a local banquet facility. The wedding was held in Wamego at 5:30 p.m. on Friday followed by the reception and dance at Manhattan, KS. The families, along with Clay and Aimee enjoyed lunch together on Saturday following upon which the Bastians returned to their Henry home.  Virgil Bastian accompanied Ron and Peggy to the wedding.

 

Roxanne Geiger and Toni Goodall enjoyed dinner in Watertown on Monday.

 

Arlen and Joan Boehnke were among those that enjoyed the baked potato supper and helped “retire” the Henry Owls Thursday evening.

 

Tori Paulsen and Kailey Eidsness played with the Florence girls at the Willie Mac Tournament in Brookings Friday and Saturday.  Myron Eidsness attended the tournament each of the days.

 

Erin Bruns of Lake Preston was a weekend guest at the Wendell Bruns home.  They were joined on Saturday evening for supper by Shannon and Donna Bruns and daughters, Sammi and Sarah of Watertown.

 

Donna Kittelson spent Thursday and Friday at the home of Bryon Wientjes in Watertown.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall went to Sioux Falls on Tuesday where Toni underwent major surgery. They returned to Henry on Thursday. Deb Jorgenson, Toni’s mother of Watertown was in Sioux Falls until Wednesday afternoon with the Goodalls.

 

Tim and Lori Page were Friday evening supper guests of Jim and Michelle Algood. Later the couples enjoyed the movie at Bryant.

 

Cokey Johnson spent time this weekend at Prairie Lakes Hospital with her mother, Aggie Opdahl of Hayti.

 

Eleanor Van Sickle, Watertown joined Calvin and Lois Schoepp and attended the Hee Haw Show Sunday afternoon in South Shore.

 

On Friday evening, Joan Boehnke attended the “Night Out for Women” salad supper and quilt show sponsored by the Clark County Extension Homemakers.

 

Donna Kittelson attended the Winter Awards Assembly on Thursday evening at the Watertown Civic Area. Jordon Burchatz received Best Defensive player of the year on the Watertown basketball team. Logan Burchatz, daughter of Ron and Jennifer Burchatz received the Most Improved member of the Watertown Dance Team.

 

Hayley and Travis Goodall are spending time visiting with their great-grandparents, David and Sylvia Drake in Revillo during their mother’s recovery.

 

Terry and Judy Kos spent Thursday evening at the home of Tom and Beth Kos in Omaha. On Friday morning they went on to Wamego, KS to attend the wedding of Clay Bastion and Aimee Pearce. They returned to Omaha on Saturday afternoon and were overnight guests at the Tom Kos home. They returned to their Henry home Sunday evening.

 

Saturday evening, Joan Boehnke attended the Henry Park and Rec. Department chili feed/Bingo fund-raiser at the Henry School.

 

Cheryl Hovde treated Mary Hovde of Watertown, Kathy Wookey of Clark and Donna Kittelson to the Friday evening play and supper at the Vienna Town Hall. The play, “Send in the Clowns” was preformed by the Junior and Senior Classes of Willow Lake High School.

 

Tanner Pickrel, 13 month old son of Tyler Pickrel and Jen Bertch of Watertown was a Saturday overnight guest at the home of his great-grandparents, Sharon and Ron Burchatz.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall were Sunday supper guests at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home.

 

 Joe Young attended the birthday party held at the Garden City Manor for the Garden City Legion. The food was served by the Garden City Auxiliary.
