Henry News – February 11, 2008
Several
friends and relatives attended the 90th birthday celebration for
Raymond Biberdorf on Sunday afternoon. For our away
friends, Raymond still resides in his own home on the farm and drives into
Henry for his noon dinner.
Stephanie
Boehnke returned to USD Sunday afternoon, after
spending the weekend at her parents’ home.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson and Kathy Wookey of Clark drove to Warner last Monday evening and attended
the Warner girl’s basketball game. Prior
to the game Mitch and Marilyn McNeil and the Dave McNeil joined them for supper
out in Warner and later they too, also attended the game.
The
Henry Booster Club has been meeting regularly at the school and has been making
plans for upcoming fund raisers. The next meeting will be Tuesday, February
12th at 6 p.m. in the NW room of the school.
Wes
and Betty Holida were Friday evening visitors of
Arlen Swedeen.
Diane
York, Watertown,
Steph Raasch, Dylan and Harlee and Doug Schoepp were
Sunday dinner guests at the Calvin and Lois Schoepp
home.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson attended the Tuesday evening basketball game between Sioux
Falls Roosevelt and the Watertown Arrows.
Terry
and Judy Kos attended the Kids Wrestling Tournament in Watertown on Sunday afternoon. Their grandchildren, Connor and Adam DeJong took part in the meet.
Sunday
supper guests at the home of Lynn and Barb Hartley
were Lori Hyland and Bailey of Ramona, Jenna Hartley of Watertown, Jim Hulscher
of Goodwin, and Adam and Laci Hartley and
family. Lori and Bailey were overnight
guests.
Charlie
and Alec Heustess of Watertown
and Dale and Teresa Peterson, Lynore Calder, and Issabelle Winnett enjoyed the
fish supper at the Immaculate Conception School in Watertown on Friday evening.
Elsie
Young enjoyed dinner out with Marilyn Reed and Lois Grygiel
of Watertown Wednesday in Watertown.
Donna
Kittelson visited at the Bryan Wientjes home in Watertown on Friday. In the evening Floyd and
Donna enjoyed the Watertown Arrow’s basketball victory over the Pierre
Governors.
Arlet Soderlund has returned to her home
after being hospitalized and receiving 4 stints.
Lois
Schoepp visited Lola Alexander at Wookey’s
Assistant Living in Clark on Thursday.
Lynn
and Barb Hartley went to Summit on Friday night
and Warner on Saturday night to watch their niece, Kelli Wiedebush
and the Warner girls’ basketball team.
In the Saturday night’s game, Kelli surpassed the 1000 career point
mark.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson enjoyed watching Cody Wookey take
part in the Clark Junior varsity basketball game against Arlington
in Clark on Saturday. Later they watched the Clark High School
varsity games.
Troy and Sandy Van Sickle and family of Watertown,
Mike and Shauna Lane
and family and Gordon and Loydeen Van Sickle spent
the weekend in Fargo, ND.
Connie
Wilson and Roxanne Geiger met Alyssa Rhody of Clear Lake
for dinner in Watertown
on Tuesday.
Donna
Kittelson attended the Clark chorus fund raiser at the American Legion Hall in Clark on Sunday. The chorus served a variety of soups and
later offered bingo. Later Donna called on Lester and Lois McGillivary
at the Wookey Assistant Living home.
Alec
Heustess of Watertown
and Issabelle Winnett were
Sunday visitors at the Dale and Teresa Peterson home. Later they enjoyed supper out in Watertown.
