Doris Coyle underwent surgery this past week and is recovering nicely at her Watertown apartment.

 

Gordon and Loydeen Van Sickle and Terry and Judy Kos were among those attending the Clark Chamber of Commerce grade school basketball tournament on Saturday.

 

Wendell and Alice Bruns visited Violet Winemiller on Thursday morning at the Golden Living Center in Clark.

 

Joe and Elsie Young recently attended Parker Young’s hockey tournament in Watertown.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Willow Lake/Great Plains Lutheran basketball game on Monday evening. Zach Hovde is a member of the Willow Lake team.

 

C.J. Nelson had the misfortune of breaking his leg during the Henry/ Rosholt basketball game last Tuesday evening in Henry.

 

Arlen and Joan Boehnke attended the potluck supper/card party at the Henry Community Center Friday night.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall and family and Fain and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed supper out in Henry Friday evening.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson accompanied Rick and Vickie Burchatz and Kayla and Lindsey Manzy to Sioux Falls on Thursday evening to watch the Watertown Arrows play basketball.

 

Saturday, Raymond Biberdorf and Tom and Myrna Brenden went to Florence to help their grandson, Zachery celebrate his 12th birthday.  Other guests were John, Chelsey and Connor Wiik of Watertown, the Tom Sumner family and Pat and Jolene Grygiel of Florence, Mavis Brenden of Watertown and Jared and Dylan Brenden and Julie Doucette.

 

Erin Benck, daughter of Allen and Gwen Benck was dedicated on Sunday at the Cornerstone Methodist Church in Watertown.  Following the dedication, family members enjoyed breakfast out at a local establishment. Attending the breakfast were Al, Gwen and Erin Benck, Kelby, Toni, Hayley and Travis Goodall, Ben and Olivia Nelson and Mike and Lola Nelson.

 

Brian and Kathy DeJong and family were Saturday supper guests at the Terry Kos home following the Clark Chamber tournament.

 

Friday evening Floyd and Donna Kittelson went to Willow Lake to watch the Pirates take on the Clark Comets in girl’s basketball.

 

 

 

Myron and Diane Eidsness attended a Super Bowl party at the Vernon Singrey home on Sunday.

 

Stephanie Boehnke spent the weekend at her parents’ home and returned to USD Sunday afternoon.

 

Joe and Elsie Young were Sunday dinner guests at the Travis Young home in Watertown.  The families also celebrated Parker Young’s ninth birthday.

 

Steve Paulsen and Dorothy Paulsen were Thursday dinner guests at the Calvin and Lois Schoepp home.

 

Alice Bruns visited her sister, Lona Johnson at the Jenkins Living Center in Watertown on Friday morning.

 

 Sunday, Mavis Brenden of Watertown and Raymond Biberdorf accompanied Tom and Myrna Brenden and Dylan to the John and Chelsey Wiik home in Watertown to celebrate Connor Wiik’s second birthday. Joining in the celebration were Bill and Deb Wiik and the Joe Wiik family of Big Stone City.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the 7th and 8th grade basketball tournament in Florence on Saturday. Maggie Hovde of Vienna accompanied Donna home for a noon luncheon.

 

Arlen and Joan Boehnke attended a Super Bowl party at the home of Doug and PJ Blue home on Sunday.

 

Ron and Evelyn Woitte of Watertown and Yona Gillespil and Donna Schei of St. Paul were Friday evening supper guests at the Dale and Ruth Bludorn home. Additional evening guests were Amy Anderson and Emma Sattler of Watertown, Lisa Bludorn of Mitchell, Joe Maag, Stephanie Boehnke and Natasha Gassman.

 

James and Jessica Langdeaux along with their two children visited in the Henry/Watertown area over the past week. The family arrived last Monday from Ft. Bragg, NC and spent time with their families which are Mike and Lola Nelson of Henry and Jerry and Donna Langdeaux of Watertown. James and Jessica also spent time with other family members and friends.  Saturday, Jerry and Donna Langdeaux hosted a “Welcome Home” party for James during his short time home for R & R from Iraq.  The party was attended by a large number of family and friends.  Following the party, the James Langdeaux family returned to their home in NC.  James will depart for the final part of his deployment on February 13th.

 

Erin Bruns and a friend, Mikki Larsen of Lake Preston spent the weekend at the Wendell and Alice Bruns home.

 

Friends may help Raymond Biberdorf celebrate his 90th birthday this Sunday afternoon at the Henry Community Center.

 

On Saturday evening the 1987 Henry Girls Basketball team that represented our region at the State basketball team was recognized and presented with a banner to be hung in the Henry gym. All of the team members were present except Cindy Reid, Tammy (Dailey) LaFramboise and Amy (Lane) Jenson. Stacie Lindgren, the 1987 coach, was also present.

The banner was presented at half time of the boy’s basketball game which was well attended.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp took dinner to Doris Coyle on Sunday.

 

Bonita Sharp called on her mother, Betty Keyes at her Clark apartment on Monday afternoon.

 

Celebrating Emma Sattler’s first birthday at the Dale and Ruth Bludorn home were Amy Anderson and Emma of Watertown, Lisa Bludorn of Mitchell, Steve and Cindy Anderson and Josh, Ed, Mandy, Jackson and Sydney Maynard.

 

Lisa Bludorn of Mitchell and Emma Sattler of Watertown were Friday and Saturday overnight guests at the Dale and Ruth Bludorn home.

 

LeDene Geiger accompanied Kelby and Toni Goodall and family and Fain and Roxanne Geiger to Sioux Falls on Saturday.

 

Jackie McNeil and family of Warner were Saturday evening supper guests at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.

 

Gordon and Loydeen Van Sickle were Monday morning visitors and noon luncheon guests at the Helen Van Sickle home in Watertown.

 

Joe and Elsie Young attended the Watertown girl’s basketball game and enjoyed the half time performance by the Watertown Cheer Team.  Their great-granddaughter, Sydnie Young is a part of the team.
