I sincerely hope each of you had a Merry Christmas and my wish for you is that you have a Blessed and Prosperous New Year.

Tom and Beth Kos of Omaha, NE returned to their home after spending the weekend before Christmas at the Terry and Judy Kos home. Bret and Karen Henricks and family, rural Waverly and Brian and Kathy Kos and family of Watertown joined the families for an early Christmas last Saturday.

Danny and Bonita Sharp celebrated Christmas with their family last Saturday. Those attending were Joe, Nicole and Karli Sharp and Troy and Nicky Watson and girls.

Christmas Eve supper guests at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home were Roger and Holly Clausen and Sam of St. Cloud, MN and Virgil Bastian.

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown High School Choir and Orchestra Concert. Jordan and Kayla Burchatz participated in the concert.

Toni Goodall and Jessica Langdeaux hosted a baby shower at the Community Center last Saturday honoring Gwen Benck and her new daughter, Erin Jessica Benck born on November 2^nd. The shower was well attended by family and friends of the Bencks.

John and Tressa Anderson, Webster, Brenda, Kathy, Mark and Kristofer Block, Keith and Derrick Anderson and Tom Mino were Christmas Eve dinner and supper guests of Linda Mino. Doreen, Miles and Chantel Foster of Pierre stopped in the afternoon for a visit. Previous to the afternoon visit to the Mino home, Doreen and her children visited her mother, Marcella Anderson at Jenkins Nursing Home in Watertown.

Also observing an early Christmas was the Don and Rose McElroy family. Bob McElroy of Waterloo, IA and Dave, Becky, Mara and Brenna McElroy of Sioux Falls were weekend guests.

Christmas Eve guests at the Danny and Bonita Sharp home were Betty Keyes of Clark, Troy and Nicky Watson and girls, Cecelia Brownell and Arlene Sharp. Betty remained and spent the night at the Sharp home.

Friday, Wendell and Alice Bruns went to Lake Preston and Erin Bruns returned home with them and stayed until Sunday morning. On Sunday Erin went to Bellingham, MN to spent time with her grandparents, Ed and Marie Karels. She later returned to the Bruns and stayed until Tuesday morning.

Richard, Vickie, Jordan and Kayla Burchatz, Meghan Buhler, Ross and Brandon Burchatz, Shelly and Dillon Root, Chreanna, Dominic, Reva Waldner and Dayne Plunkett, Stephanie, Tyler and Tanner Pickrel, Jen Bertch and John Heber enjoyed dinner Christmas Eve at the Ron and Sharon Burchatz home.

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the “Signs of Christmas” held Christmas Eve at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vienna. Savanna and Maggie Hovde took part in the program.

Elsie Young visited her cousin, Marilyn Reed in Watertown on Christmas Eve day.

Last Sunday guests at the Lynn and Barb Hartley home were Rick and Lori Hyland and Bailey of Ramona, Anna Hartley of Garden City, Jenna Hartley of Watertown, Jim Hulscher of Goodwin, and Adam and Laci Hartley and family. Evening visitors were Andy and Tami Boehnke of Sioux Falls, Dave Annette and Katie Boehnke of Clark, Ashley Boehnke of Elbert CO, and Mike McCue of Colorado Springs, CO.

Myron and Diane Eidsness and girls went to Harrisburg last Saturday to the Brad and Carol Pickles family for the celebration of the Audus family Christmas. In addition to the Eidsness family those attending were Ethan and Darlene Audus, Janet Wren and Chantell of Clark, Dave and Peggy Heard of Pipestone, MN, Tim and Kim Audus and Mackenzie, Robert Rohrer and Chantel and Clete and Carla Guffin and family of Sioux Falls.

Kayla and Vickie Burchatz spent last Sunday wrapping and decorating gifts at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.

Christmas afternoon visitors at the Arlen Swedeen home were Lindy and Lesa Swedeen and family of Sioux Falls.

Calvin and Lois Schoepp were Christmas Eve guests at the Diane York home in Watertown. Additional guests were Gary and Tondi Schoepp and boys of Chanhassen, MN, Stacy York, Sioux Falls, Doug Schoepp and Steph Raasch.

Christmas Day guests at the Arlene Sharp home were Betty Keyes of Clark, Deb Sharp and Gary Voeltz of Watertown and Danny and Bonita Sharp.

Myron and Diane Eidsness and family enjoyed Christmas Eve supper with Ethan and Darlene Audus at Clark.

Mike and Lola Nelson hosted Christmas with their children and grandchildren last Sunday evening. Attending were, Greg and Gunnar Nelson, Ben Nelson and Olivia Nelson, Grant and Alex Nelson and Brandon Decker from Watertown, Jessica, Naomi and Carter Langdeaux from Ft. Bragg, NC, Al and Gwen Benck and Erin, Grant’s stepdaughter, Chelsea, her special friend, John and their daughter, Destiny all of Henry.

Christmas Eve supper guests at the Terry Kos home were Bret and Karen Henricks, John and Liz and Brian and Kathy DeJong and family.

Jason Davis spent the weekend at the home of the home of his mother, Paulette and Dave Dobias.

Calvin and Lois Schoepp were Friday evening guests at the Diane York home in Watertown to visit with Chad York and children of Ft. Pierre.

Last Sunday celebrating Christmas at the Tim and Jennifer Johnson home were

Sarah Johnson of the Twin Cities, Darci Johnson of Vermillion, Christopher Kasten of Hayti, Jeff and Jamie Schaack and family, rural Henry, Heather Schaack and Tommy Brewster, Jenna Johnson and girls,

Heidi Johnson and Ronnie and Jennifer Briggs and family all of Watertown, Cameron Johnson, Brookings, Ben and Ashley Johnson of Hayti and Cokey Johnson.

Rodger and Diann Redmond and boys were Christmas Day dinner guests at the Brian and Linda Haan in Watertown. Additional guests were Steve Hartley and boys, rural Henry and Kevin and Dawn Berner and family of Watertown.

Monty and Marcia Montgomery and family were among the several families that enjoyed Christmas Eve supper and visiting at the Gordy and Loydeen Van Sickle home.

Christmas Eve guests at the Wendell Bruns home were Erin Bruns, Lake Preston, Shannon, Donna, Samantha and Sarah Bruns, of Watertown, Ashley Bruns, Karen and Kendra Christensen and Karen’s mother.

The Boehnke family Christmas was held Christmas Day at the home of Randy and Carol Wiedebush, Darin and Kelli, of rural Mansfield. Those attending were Arlen, Joan, John and Stephanie Boehnke, Lynn and Barb Hartley, and Adam and Laci Hartley, Brodie, Aubrie and Tate all of Henry, Terry and Ruth Boehnke, Bob Boehnke and Bonnie Redlin, of Watertown, and Brady Rogers of Mansfield.

Joe and Elsie Young were Christmas Eve and Christmas Day guests at the Gary and Kathy Young home in Watertown.

Matt and Missy Clausen of Milbank, Kathy and Chris Frey, Shawn and Lynn Bastian and family of Watertown and Virgil Bastian were Christmas Day dinner and supper guests at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home.

Stephanie Pickrel, Dean and Stacy Plunkett and daughter, Chreanna and Shelly and Dillon Root spent Christmas Day with Ron and Sharon Burchatz.

Fain and Roxanne Geiger and Kelby and Toni Goodall and family spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the home of Louis and Mardella Gortmaker in Miller. They were joined Christmas Day by Earl and Alyssa Rhody and Tierra of Clear Lake.

Christmas Day dinner guests at the Calvin and Lois Schoepp home were Tom and Karen Miller and girls, Iroquois, Diane York, Watertown, Stacy York, Sioux Falls, and Doug Schoepp and Steph Raasch.

Christmas Eve guests at the Chad and Lisa Purintun home were Christopher Purintun, Amber Erickson and Joshua Purintun of De Smet, SD and DeOrval and Betty Purintun of Watertown. Also enjoying the day were Anthony, Kellie and Matthew Purintun.

Ron and Sharon Burchatz surprised Shelly Root and took her a birthday cake and a gift on Sunday. Shelly’s children, Dean and Dominic Plunkett were home for the holidays.

Spencer Wientjes spent Thursday afternoon with his grandmother, Donna Kittelson.

Christmas Eve guests at the Mark and Renee O’Neill home were Gerald and Mike Hartley, Sam and Robin Hartley and family, Christopher Hartley, Mike and Krista O’Neill all of Clark and Jerry and Carol O’Neill.

Monty and Marcia Montgomery and family were among the several family members that spent Christmas at the Helen Van Sickle home in Watertown.

Christmas Eve guests at the Dennis and Barb Martenson home were Joey Martenson, Brookings, Lisa Martenson, Watertown, Dave and Carissa Quale and Maria, Volga, Rodger and Diann Redmond and boys and Pat and Irene Redmond.

Calvin and Lois Schoepp attended the Iroquois/Faulkton basketball game and watched their granddaughter, Lindsey cheerlead.

The Bludorn Christmas was held last Saturday at the Community Room in Henry. Those attending were Sam and Trisha Rieffenberger, Alex and Elizabeth and Tom and Charlene Bludorn all of Watertown, Jerry and Tammie Bludorn, Elizabeth, Conner, Jaclyn and Jamie of Webster, Lisa Bludorn, Mitchell, Mike and Mandy Lodmel and Lawson, Warner, Steve and Cindy Anderson, Amy, Josh and Emma, Mark and Pat Maynard, Dale and Ruth Bludorn and Brad and Mandy Maynard, Sydney and Jackson.

Sunday visitors at the Arlene Sharp home were Jim and Donna Frauenberg and family of North Dakota.

Cokey Johnson spent Christmas Day at the home of her mother, Agnes Opdahl in Hayti.

LeRay and Andrea Swedeen and family enjoyed Christmas Eve at the home of Arlen Swedeen.

Christmas Day dinner guests at the home of Jerry and Carol O’Neill were Danny and Karrie O’Neill of Watertown, Brandon and Alecia O’Neill and Justin O’Neill and special friend, Maria all of Sioux Falls, Mike O’Neill, Krista and Angie of Clark, and Mark and Renee O’Neill and family. Afternoon guests were Jason and Kylie Steen and girls of Watertown and Troy and Lisa Werdel of Sioux Falls.
