Arlen Swedeen spent Sunday at his apartment in Henry and returned to the Golden Living Center in Watertown later in the evening. Arlen expects to be able to return to his apartment within the week. LeRay and Andrea Swedeen brought Sunday dinner to him. Afternoon callers included Wes and Betty Holida of Naples and Joe and Elsie Young. In the evening Bill Pickles and Deanna Martwick favored Arlen with supper.

 

Jill Flood of Hazel treated Donna Kittelson to lunch on Wednesday in remembrance of Donna’s birthday.

 

Terry and Judy Kos attended the funeral of Augusta Rabine at the Tabor Lutheran Church in Strandburg on Thursday afternoon.  Later they visited at the Wilbur and Marlys Johnson home in Strandburg.

 

Larry Bludorn of Omaha, NE spent a few days with his parents, Dale and Ruth Bludorn.

 

Joan Boehnke attended the Veterans’ Day program at the Henry School Friday afternoon.

 

Bill Baker of Brainerd, MN spent the weekend at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home and enjoyed pheasant hunting. Additional weekend guests at the Bastian home were Randy and Lynette Pearce of Wamego, Kansas. Randy joined the other men in hunting pheasants. Erick Bastian of Black Hills State University also enjoyed the holiday weekend at his parents’ home.

 

Melvin and Marcene Hanson of rural Vienna were recent callers at the Cokey Johnson home.

 

Cheri Jans and Lois Schoepp attended the American Legion poultry party in Clark last Monday evening.

 

Gary and Travis Young of Watertown were Sunday afternoon callers at the Joe and Elsie Young home.

 

Mike and Lori Fuller of Wisconsin, Louis and Joyce Brush of Clark, Dawn Brush of Aberdeen, Bonita Sharp, Cecelia Brownell, Nicole and Karli Sharp and Nicky Watson and girls were Saturday morning coffee guests and noon luncheon guests at the Betty Keyes home in Clark.

 

Joan and Stephanie Boehnke attended the annual 4-H Recognition Event in Clark Sunday afternoon.

 

Congratulations are extended to two Henry girls for their winnings in the Clark County Senior and Junior Snow Queen contest. Kailey Eidsness, daughter of Myron and Diane Eidsness was crowned Junior Snow Queen and Shantel Gassman received runner-up in the Senior Contest. Myron and Diane Eidsness attended the festivities on Saturday evening in Clark.

 

Dorothy Paulsen was a Thursday afternoon coffee guest at the Lois Schoepp home.

 

Stephanie Boehnke spent the Veterans’ Day weekend at her parents’ home and returned to USD on Monday.

 

Lisa Bludorn of Mitchell and Emma Sattler of Watertown were weekend guests at the Dale and Ruth Bludorn home. They were joined on Sunday by Jerry Bludorn of Webster and Steve, Cindy, Josh and Amy Anderson.

 

Jackie McNeil of Warner, Vickie Burchatz and Cindy Wientjes of Watertown, Bridget Wookey of Mankato, Kathy Wookey, Clark, Cheryl Hovde, rural Vienna and Donna Kittelson attended the Holiday Festival at the Banquet Hall in Watertown on Saturday. Later the girls treated Donna to lunch. They were joined by Jordan Burchatz.  In the evening, Kathy and Cody Wookey were supper guests at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp were Sunday dinner guest at the Diane York home in Watertown.

 

Virgil and Lois Stern were Monday evening supper guests at the Ron and Linda Stern home.

 

Cokey Johnson called on her mother, Agnes Opdahl at Hayti on Sunday afternoon.  In the evening was a supper guest at the home of Tim and Jennifer Johnson.

 

Pam Rorvik-Albers of Flandreau and Judy Kos enjoyed Monday lunch in Henry and an afternoon of visiting.
