Henry News – October 29, 2007
Birth Announcement:
A baby girl, Bailey Ann was born on Tuesday, October 23,
2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Sanford Hospital in Sioux
Falls to Rick and Lori (Hartley) Hyland. Bailey
weighed 7 lbs and 13 oz and was 20 inches long. Bailey’s grandparents are Lynn
and Barb Hartley, Henry and Ray and Esther Hyland of Ramona. Her great
grandparents are Bob and Bonnie Boehnke of Watertown, Anna Hartley
of Garden City and Mary Hyland of Nunda.
Vance
and Irene McPeek of Mitchell were Wednesday overnight
guests at the Wendell and Alice Bruns
home. Thursday the McPeeks and Bruns
attended funeral services for Michael Kramer at Herman, MN.
Michael was a cousin of Vance and Wendell.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown Arrow and Rapid City Central
football game in Watertown
on Tuesday evening.
Myron
and Diane Eidsness and Laura attended the All State
Concert on Saturday in Rapid City.
The Eidsness’ daughter, Kailey
along with Courtney Zweig, Tommy Mino and Bob Thompson represented Henry High
School in the All State Chorus.
Fain
and Roxanne Geiger met Tierra Rhody of Clear Lake
in Watertown on
Monday and enjoyed supper out. Later the Geigers took
Tierra to Clark so she could watch the
Deuel/Clark volleyball game. Tierra returned to her home that evening.
Joan
Boehnke of Henry, Dave and Annette Boehnke of Clark, and Carol Wiedebush
of Mansfield enjoyed supper at the Terry and
Ruth Boehnke home in Watertown Friday evening. Clarice Cold and
Lori Hartwig, both of Illinois, (an aunt and cousin of the Boehnke siblings) were guests in the Boehnke
home until Sunday. Later in the evening,
Barb Hartley of Henry and Lori and
Bailey Ann Hyland of near Ramona joined the group.
Kelby and Toni Goodall hosted a birthday
party on Saturday afternoon at the Community Center for their children, Hayley, who celebrated her 3rd birthday and
Travis, who celebrated his first birthday. Friends and relatives present for
the party were Lorraine Benck ,Kim, Deb and Madisyn Jorgenson
of Watertown, David and Sylvia Drake, Revillo, Julie,
Spencer, MaKayla
and Jake Bartels of Bemis, Dave and Jodi Ulschmid of Arlington, Glenn,
Roxie and Angela Goodall of Aberdeen, Louis and Mardella Gortmaker of Miller,
Earl, Alyssa and Tierra Rhody of Clear Lake, Al Benck, Fain and Roxanne Geiger, Teresa
Peterson and Belle Winnett all of
Henry.
Alice
Bruns went to Lake Preston
on Friday to pick up her granddaughter, Erin Bruns,
who spent the weekend with her grandparents, Wendell and Alice Bruns.
Anthony
Purintun enjoyed pheasant hunting with Fain Geiger on
Thursday.
Barb Hartley spent from Thursday to
Sunday at the Rick and Lori Hyland home near Ramona assisting after the birth
of their new daughter, Bailey Ann.
Bonita
Sharp enjoyed lunch out on Monday with Marcia Hamner,
Wheaton, MN.
Louie
and Mardella Gortmaker of
Miller and Earl, Alyssa and Tierra Rhody of rural
Clear Lake enjoyed dinner on Saturday at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home
before attending the birthday party for the Goodall
children. On Saturday evening the Geigers and Kelby and Toni Goodall enjoyed
supper in Watertown.
Adam
and Laci Hartley hosted the following on Sunday
evening to celebrate Brodie Robinson’s 7th
birthday: Lori Hyland and Bailey of Ramona, Wade Redlin
of Lake Preston, Savannah Wieck of Brookings, Bonnie Redlin, Chad and Amy Redlin and
girls, Bob Boehnke and Jenna Hartley of Watertown,
Jim Hulsher of Goodwin, Anna Hartley of Garden City,
and Lynn and Barb Hartley, Doug and
Paula Blue and family, and Arlen, Joan, and John Boehnke
all of Henry.
Rich
and Karen Bludorn of Liberty Township, Ohio
spent the weekend at the Ruth and Dale Bludorn
home. On Saturday evening, Ruth and Dale
hosted a ham dinner with other family members in attendance including, Jerry
and Tammie Bludorn, Jaclyn and Janie of Webster, Sam
and Trish Rieffenberger, Alex and Elizabeth and Amy
and Emma Anderson, all of Watertown, Mandy Lodmel of
Warner, Steve, Cindy and Josh Anderson, Mandy Maynard, Sydney and Jackson and
Pat Maynard all of Henry.
Lois
Schoepp visited Doris Coyle in Watertown on Wednesday.
Vicky
and Kayla Burchatz
of Watertown, Bridget Wookey
of Mankato State
University, Kathy Wookey
of Clark and Donna Kittelson spent Friday through Sunday in Rapid City. On Saturday they attended the All
State Chorus and Orchestra at the Rushmore
Plaza Civic
Center. Jordon Burchatz and Stephanie Wookey
participated in chorus along with Donna’s great niece, Amber Robbins.
Dale
and Diane Kludt were also among those attending the
chorus. Their granddaughter, Alyssa Page, daughter of David and Denise Page of
Milbank participated in the chorus.
Jack
and Marilyn Henning of Watertown and Calvin and Lois Schoepp
attended the St. John’s
Catholic roast beef supper in Iroquois on Sunday evening.
