John and Stephanie Boehnke spent the Columbus Day weekend at the home of their parents.  They returned to SDSU and USD, respectively, Monday afternoon.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp visited Doris Coyle at her Watertown apartment on Sunday evening.

 

Donna Kittelson was a Tuesday night overnight guest at her sisters’, Jerry and Shorty Ramsbacher at Sanborn, MN.

 

Tom Burger of Arizona was a Saturday overnight guest at the Ron and Linda Stern home.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger visited her parents, Louis and Mardella Gortmaker at their home in Miller on Saturday.

 

Lois Schoepp attended the St. Paul Lutheran bazaar and luncheon in Clark on Wednesday.

 

Lisa Martenson of Watertown and Irene Redmond accompanied Rodger and Diann Redmond to the Friday evening football game in Henry.  Fans enjoyed hearing the announcement of the game from the newly constructed crow’s nest at the Henry field.

 

Jackie McNeil of Warner was a Thursday overnight guest at the home of her parents, Floyd and Donna Kittelson. Jackie was returning from AZ.

 

Terry and Judy Kos visited at the Bret and Karen Henricks home near Waverly on Sunday afternoon after attending the household auction in South Shore of Judy’s sister, Joanne Berglund.

 

Matt and Missy Bastian of Milbank were Saturday overnight guests at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home.

 

Joan and Stephanie Boehnke attended the wedding and reception for Tara Peterson and Jess Huber on Saturday.

 

Jerry and Carol O’Neill attended the wedding of Leha Stone and Michael Hutcheson at Holy Name Catholic Church on Saturday. Later they attended the wedding reception and dance at the Elks Lodge in Watertown.

 

Maggie Hovde of rural Vienna was an overnight guest at the Floyd Kittelson home and also spent Saturday.

 

Lois Schoepp visited Morris and Eleanor Van Sickle at Jenkins Living Center on Friday. Later in the evening Morris passed away. Calvin and Lois called on Eleanor Sunday afternoon. Morris and Eleanor were former residents of Henry where Morris was custodian at the school and Eleanor was the school business manager.

 

Fain Geiger was a Sunday evening supper guest at the Kelby and Toni Goodall home.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson drove to Aberdeen on Sunday and watched Jackie McNeil participate in the Hub City Hammers and Harlem Ambassadors basketball game. The Ambassadors were formerly called the Globetrotters. The Hammers are sponsored by Wells Fargo Auto Finance, Jackie’s employer. Marilyn McNeil and Dave McNeil and family of Warner also attended the game.  Following the game Floyd and Donna treated the families to supper.

 

Jerome Nesheim and Melissa Rawlins of Clark were Saturday afternoon visitors at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home.

 

Betty and Wes Holida of Naples were Saturday evening visitors at the Arlen Swedeen home.

 

Emily Bastian, a student at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, spent the weekend at the home of her parents.  On Sunday she participated in a basketball scrimmage with the Wesleyan team at Kimball, SD.  Ron Bastian attended the scrimmage.

 

Arlen Swedeen was a Saturday dinner guest at the LeRay Swedeen home.  The families celebrated Cassie Swedeen’s birthday.

 

Connie (Bakken) Norvell, formerly of Wichita , KS has moved to Henry in the home formerly occupied by Kari Stormo.

 

Brian and Kathy DeJong and family were Monday afternoon visitors at the Terry Kos home.

 

Funeral services were held for Diane (Bakken) Womack Monday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church . Diane was a 1970 graduate of Henry High School and previously lived in Wichita , KS .
