Connor
and Adam DeJong returned to their home last Tuesday
after spending the night at the home of their grandparents, Terry and Judy Kos.
Tierra
Rhody of Clear
Lake visited her
grandmother, Roxanne Geiger on Tuesday morning.
Word
was received this past week of the sudden and unexpected death of Lynn Allen. Lynn was the son of Rose Jenkins and was presently
residing in Montana.
He was once a student at Henry School although he did not graduate from Henry High
School. Lynn
was thirty four years of age.
Terry
and Judy Kos were Thursday evening supper guests at the Brian and Kathy DeJong home in Watertown.
Kayla Burchatz
and Donna Kittelson spent last Monday at the Bryan and Cindy Wientjes home in Watertown. The Wientjes’
have recently moved from Clark to Watertown.
Jenna
Hartley of Watertown, Lynn and Barb Hartley and Adam and Laci
Hartley and family camped Saturday overnight at the Randy and Carol Wiedebush farm near Mansfield. The attended gatherings honoring the Wiedebush’s on their 25th wedding anniversary.
Fain
and Roxanne Geiger were Friday evening supper guests at the Kelby
and Toni Goodall home.
Eric
Bastian and Kayla Parsons of Black Hills State arrived at the Ron Bastian home on
Friday evening. They plan to stay until Thursday when they will return to
prepare for another school year.
Sympathy
is expressed to former resident, Debbie Engels
upon the death of her father, Ray Huntley.
Mr. Huntley had been a resident of Watertown
however was recently admitted to the Clark Nursing Home.
Lois
Schoepp enjoyed Tuesday morning coffee with Marilyn Henning in Watertown.
Jane
Albertson, Abby and Jordon Brower and Dick and Elenor
Nuttbrock of Watertown
were Friday afternoon visitors of Dale and Ruth Bludorn.
Donna
Kittelson treated her granddaughter, Bridget Wookey
of Clark to supper on Thursday evening. Bridget left on Saturday to begin college at Mankato.
Kelby and Toni Goodall, Hayley
and Travis and Fain and Roxanne Geiger were Saturday evening supper guests at
the Earl and Alyssa Rhody home near Clear Lake.
Ray
and Marcia Hamner of Wheaton, MN
joined Danny and Bonita Sharp for supper out in Henry Friday evening.
Roma Rawlins of Clark and Cokey Johnson returned Morgan and Whitney Schaack to their home on Saturday and visited with Jamie Schaack. The twins
had spent the night with their grandmother, Cokey
Johnson.
Emily
Bastian was assisted by family members in returning to Dakota Wesleyan
University in Mitchell on
Saturday.
Fain
and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed supper out in Henry on Sunday evening.
Dale
and Teresa Peterson hosted a 50th
birthday party for George Heustess on Saturday
evening at their home. Enjoying the evening were Al and Gwen Benck, Lynore Calder, Issabelle Winnett, Kim Heustess, Kevin Heustess and his
children, and Georgia Heustess.
George
received a call from Arizona
from his brothers and Art Heustess. Mike and Charlie Heustess also had a party for George.
Cokey Johnson visited her mother, Agnes Opdahl
at Hayti on Sunday afternoon.
Calvin
and Lois Schoepp were Saturday dinner guests at the
Tom and Karen Miller home at Iroquois.
Karen is recuperating from recent surgery.
A
family potluck dinner was held at the Randy and Carol Wiedebush
home in rural Mansfield
Sunday afternoon to help celebrate Randy and Carol’s 25th wedding
anniversary. Among those attending were:
Bob and Bonnie Boehnke, Terry Boehnke
and Jenna Hartley of Watertown, Lori Hyland of Nunda, Dave, Annette and Katie Boehnke of Clark , Carlos and Anita Abraham of Hazel, Lynn
and Barb Hartley, the Adam Hartley
family and Arlen and Joan Boehnke.
Calvin
and Lois Schoepp were among Sunday dinner guests at
the Steph Raasch home and
helped Dylan celebrate his 10th birthday.
Marion
Peterson is the newest member of the Henry apartments. Local residents are more
familiar with calling her Marion Day. Tyler Waldner
has recently moved into the trailer
court.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown Arrow football game in Watertown on Friday
evening and watched their grandson, Jordon Burchatz
play football.
Wes and Betty Holida of Naples
were Friday evening visitors at the Arlen Swedeen
home.
