Tuesday evening supper guests at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home were Jim and Vicky Clausen of Reva, Maryland.  Ed and Morgan Clausen of Chicago and Donna Prouty and family of rural Vienna were callers later in the evening.

 

Roxanne Geiger joined Alyssa Rhody and Tierra of Clear Lake for dinner in Watertown on Tuesday.

 

Phyllis Ptak called on Floyd and Donna Kittelson Tuesday morning.

 

Lindy and Lesa Swedeen of Sioux Falls were Saturday evening visitors of Arlen Swedeen.

 

Sharon Burchatz and her family recently participated in the Terex picnic.

 

Wendell Bruns visited his mother, Violet Winemiller on Wednesday and Sunday mornings at the Golden Living Center in Clark.

 

Tracy, Mary and Daniel Upton of Milbank, Kathy and Lisa Young of Watertown, Ryan Forman of Sioux Falls, Roger, Holly and Sam Clausen of St. Cloud, Jim and Vicky Clausen, Reva, Maryland,  Ed and Morgan Clausen, Chicago, Il, Jennifer and Tess Johnson and Peggy and Clay Bastian spent Thursday afternoon at the lake.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed supper out in Henry on Thursday.

 

Joan Boehnke helped in the 4-H lunch stand in Clark on Sunday for the 4-H Prospect show.

 

Danny and Bonita Sharp and Joe, Nicole and Karli Sharp spent the weekend camping at Memorial Park.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson and Vickie Burchatz journeyed to Doland Tuesday afternoon and watched Riley and Dawson McNeil play ball. The McNeil children are members of the Warner, SD team.

 

Friday afternoon callers at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home were Roger, Holly and Sam Clausen of St. Cloud, MN. Supper guests were Jim and Vicky Clausen and Ed and Morgan Clausen.  Later in the evening John and Penny Clausen of Plymouth, MN, Clay Bastian and Amy Pearce and Paul Johnson and Ikea were callers at the Bastian home.

 

Betty Keyes, Clark, Deb Sharp of Watertown, Brian and Pam Hull of Tulare, Arlene Sharp, Cecelia Brownell, Joe, Nicole and Karli Sharp, Danny and Bonita Sharp, joined Troy, Nicky and Trinity Watson in celebrating Taylor Watson’s first birthday on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Park.

 

Shannon, Donna, Samantha and Sarah Bruns of Watertown were Sunday dinner guests at the Wendell and Alice Bruns home.

 

Arlen and Joan Boehnke attended a cook-out at the home of Sandra Schaack Sunday evening.

 

The Bludorn family reunion was held this past weekend at Memorial Park at Lake Kampeska. Weekend guests of Dale and Ruth Bludorn attending the reunion included, Rich, Karen, David, Jonathan and Sarah Bludorn of Liberty Township, Ohio, Larry and Susan Bludorn of Omaha, Nebraska, Lisa Bludorn of Mitchell, Mandy Lodmel of Warner, Jerry, Tammie, Jaclyn and Jamie Bludorn of Webster and Tom and Charlene Bludorn of Watertown.  Also attending the reunion from Henry were Mark and Pat Maynard, Brad, Mandy, Sydney and Jackson Maynard, Steve, Cindy, Josh, Amy and Emma Anderson.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger had supper out in Watertown on Saturday evening and celebrated Fain’s birthday.

 

Matt and Missy Bastian of Milbank were Saturday morning visitors at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home.

 

Lois Schoepp called on Dorothy Paulsen Saturday evening.

 

Floyd Kittelson attended the baseball game in Clark Friday evening. His grandson, Cody Wookey is a member of the Clark team.

 

Members of the Clausen and Bastian families attended the wedding of Ryan Forman and Lisa Young on Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Watertown.  The reception and dance were held later at the Elk’s Lodge in Watertown.

 

Hudson Engels, infant son of Troy and SeLena Engels is making a remarkable recovery following recent surgery in Sioux Falls. The Engels report that Hudson is up to 5 lbs and 4.8 oz, the heaviest he has been since his June birth. If progress continues, he may be released at the end of the week.

 

Jim and Vicky Clausen and Ed and Morgan Clausen left for their respective homes on Sunday.  Jim and Vicky had spent the week at the Tim and Jennifer Johnson home.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp visited Jeanice Rasmussen and Morris Van Sickle at Prairie Lakes Hospital on Sunday.

 

Bryan and Cindy Wientjes and family of Clark were Saturday overnight guests at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.

 

 

 

Codington County Emergency Management Director, Jim Sutton received a call at 5 a.m. Sunday morning from state offices requesting fire departments from Codington County to help fight the fire in the Nemo, SD area. Sutton called all local Codington County departments  and received an affirmative response from the Henry Department. The Henry Volunteers quickly met and made arrangements for some of the members to leave for Nemo. Leaving Sunday forenoon in a Henry Fire Department truck were Kelby Goodall, Fain Geiger and George Heustess. The Henry men will help protect structures in the area from the fire.
