Joe and Elsie Young went to Sioux Falls on Friday for medical purposes. While in Sioux Falls they visited with Jason Young and also Lisa Young.

 

Terry and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner guests at the Joanne Berglund home in South Shore.  Additional guests were Danny and Erin Berglund of LaBolt, Dottie Wilde, Peggy Hobgood and Lester Boom of Whittier, CA, David and Charlotte Green of rural Milbank, Harlan and Elma Herr of Webster, Don Marquardt,  Beatrice Murray and Peggy Meyer of South Shore and Bret, Karen, John and Liz Henricks, rural Waverly.  Additional afternoon guests were Brian, Kathy, Kayla and Connor DeJong of Watertown.

 

Lois Schoepp enjoyed coffee with Doris Coyle on Friday afternoon.

 

Bryan and Cindy Wientjes and boys of Clark were Wednesday overnight guests at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.  Spenser and Hunter Wientjes remained and spent Thursday at the Kittelson home.

 

Mark and Arlet Soderlund have returned to their Henry home after spending several days in the Twin Cities with Arlet’s mother who had the misfortune of falling and injuring herself.

 

The last meeting of the preparation committee for the 125th celebration will be held on Thursday evening in the Community Center. The committee will finalized all plans at this time.

 

Carol O’Neill attended a bridal shower for Leha Stone on Sunday afternoon at the home of Delores O’Neill in Watertown.

 

An aerial spraying for mosquitoes will be held early Thursday morning. Please take all necessary precautions in preparation for the spraying.

 

Lois Schoepp treated Joan Warnock to lunch on Friday. They were joined by Steph Nelson of Sallisaw, OK

 

Donna Kittelson attended the graduation reception for Toni Hovde on Saturday evening at her Willow Lake home.

 

Several Henry people attended the Raymond celebration on Saturday. A few Henry residents also took in the Estelline celebration.

 

There have been several emails from Naoko Funakoshi, a Henry exchange student of twenty five years ago. Naoko has requested several 125th celebration souvenirs. Naoko stated this is the only way she could help celebrate the occasion. Naoko was a guest at the home of Dwight Maynard and also spent a month at the Robert Strofhus and Dale Kludt homes.

 

Karen Henricks of rural Waverly brought lunch to the home of her parents, Terry and Judy Kos on Friday and helped them celebrate their anniversary.

 

Danny and Bonita Sharp and Joe, Nicole and Karli Sharp are spending the week camping at Lake Kampeska. On Sunday they were visited by Troy and Nicky Watson and girls.  Don and Monica Keyes of Blaine, MN will be joining them later in the week.

 

Cheryl Hovde and Maggie of rural Vienna were Sunday visitors at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.  Maggie remained and was an overnight guest and spent Monday with her grandpa and grandma.

 

Former Henry resident, Hans Rorvik passed away Saturday. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, rural Henry.

 

Ron and Linda Stern spent two days in Minneapolis visiting Lyle Stern who is hospitalized at the University of Minnesota Hospital.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp watched their granddaughter, Casey Miller of Iroquois participate in the rodeo at Hayti on Sunday.
