Birth Announcement:
Twin boys were born to Troy and SeLena Engels on
Sunday, June 24 at 8:42 a.m. and 8:43 a.m. at the Prairie Lakes
Hospital. Hudson John weighed 5
lbs. and is 17 ˝ inches long and Merrik Raymond
weighed 5 lbs. and 2 oz. and is 18 ˝ inches long. Grandparents are Chuck and Debbie Engels.
John
Boehnke spent the weekend at his parent’s home and
returned to Brookings Sunday afternoon.
Lisa
Young and Ryan Forman were last Sunday visitors at the Joe and Elsie Young
home.
Former
rural Henry residents, Lester and Lois McGillivary
are now residing at Faye Wookey Memorial Assisted
Living Center
in Clark.
Cards and greetings may reach them at 700 North
Smith.
Tondi and Greg Schoepp of Chanhassen, MN
spent the weekend at the Calvin Schoepp home.
Myron,
Diane, Laura and Kailey Eidsness
attended the wedding of Abbie Audus
and Nick Schneider in Omaha
on Saturday.
Wendell
and Alice Bruns treated Alice’s
sister, Tom and Trudy Mitchell of Roseville, IL to supper in Watertown
on Thursday evening. Friday morning, the Mitchells and Bruns
were joined by another sister, Doria Block of Watertown and her grandson, Trevor Redwing for breakfast
out together in Watertown.
Joan
Warnock returned to her Henry home after spending the past two weeks visiting
her twin sister in New Foundland.
Jodie
Young of Watertown
called on Joe and Elsie Young on Saturday. Her children returned home with her
after spending the afternoon at the Young home. Parker Young remained and was
an overnight guest at the Young home
Sharon
Burchatz and Sandra Schaack
enjoyed dinner out together recently. Sharon stated that they
were celebrating her 48th anniversary even though husband Ron was
out of town. Sharon
went on to say that was the first anniversary she and Ron had been apart. The
couple did celebrated the following weekend with some of their children.
Calvin
and Lois Schoepp attended the Great Pretenders
concert at the Castlewood celebration on Friday evening.
Floyd
and Donna Kittelson attended the wedding of Ashley Ramsbachar
and Joel Huls Saturday at Wanda, MN.
The reception was held following the wedding at Jackpot Junction at Morgan, MN.
The Kittelsons joined Jerry and Shorty
Ramsbachar for bunch on Sunday morning. Additional
family members and friends attending the wedding and reception were Kathy and
Bridget Wookey and Cindy Wientjes of Clark, Cheryl Hovde of Vienna and Bob
Thompson of Watertown.
Terry
and Judy Kos were last Tuesday evening visitors at the rural Clark
home of Clifford and Ramona Dekker.
Elsie
Young attended a bridal shower for her granddaughter, Lisa Young on Saturday in
Watertown.
Harland
and Mary Bruns of rural Bruce were Sunday visitors at
the Wendell and Alice Bruns home.
Several
local residents attended the Crystal Springs Rodeo, parade and car show in Clear Lake
on Saturday.
Lois
Schoepp attended a birthday party for Lola Alexander
at Wookey’s Assistant Living in Clark
on Friday.
Dr.
Ed and Ann Larson were Friday evening visitors of Arlen Swedeen.
Don
and Rose McElroy spent a very enjoyable weekend in the Black
Hills where they attended the McElroy reunion. Family attending
were Wyoming, Iowa,
Michigan, Minnesota
and South Dakota.
Recent
visitors at the Joe and Elsie Young home were Gary Young and Mr. & Mrs.
Orville Magedanz all of Watertown.
St.
Paul Lutheran Church of Henry held their annual Mission Festival on Sunday.
Pastor Jason Schulz was the guest speaker. Pastor Schulz serves the Milbank and
Summit
churches.
