The
United Methodist Women met on Wednesday evening at the rural home of Rita Hoch.
The ladies discussed their entry into the 125th celebration
parade in Henry. The July meeting will meet in Clark
at the home of Betty Keyes.
Susan
Parsons of Stillwater, MN
and Mike Pierce of Plainview,
MN were Friday visitors at the
home of their mother, Rose Johnson.
Hayley and Travis Goodall spent Monday with
their grandmother, Roxanne Geiger.
Friday,
Alice Bruns and Ashley Bruns visited a friend at the Avera Hospital
in Sioux Falls.
They later drove to Mitchell to pick up Ashley’s daughter, Amber for the
weekend.
Tom
Kos of Omaha, NE spent the weekend at the home of his
parents, Terry and Judy Kos. On Saturday
morning Tom ran in the Prairie
Lakes Hospital
10K run.
Cokey Johnson met with Dick and Beverly Johnson of California
and other members of the Johnson family for breakfast in Watertown Saturday morning.
Mr.
and Mrs. Martin Lohmiller, former Henry residents,
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Saturday in Watertown, Wisconsin. Relatives from Henry who attended were Barb Hartley, Arlen, Joan and Stephanie Boehnke. Others from
this area that were present for the occasion
were Carol Wiedebush of Mansfield, Dave and
Annette Boehnke of Clark, Bob and Bonnie Boehnke and Natalie Bradshaw of Watertown, Carlos and Anita
Abraham of Hazel, Cindy Frederick of Hayti, Carnie Allex of Danube, MN and Pam Ellingson
of Marshall, MN. All of the Lohmiller children and their spouses were present for the
celebration. Former pastors of Henry’s St.
Paul
Lutheran church who also attended were Rev. and Mrs. Wayne TenBroek of Watertown, WI, Rev. and Mrs. Raymond Ziebell
and Carl of Rippen WI, and Rev. and Mrs. Paul VanderGalien of Lowell,
WI.
Thursday,
Donna Kittelson returned Jackson McNeal to his Warner home after spending the
week with the Kittelsons. Donna and the McNeal
children were supper guests at the Mitch McNeal home in Warner. Donna returned
to her home on Friday.
Helen
Van Sickle and Troy, Sandy
and Taylor Van Sickle of Watertown,
Mike and Shauna Lane and family and Gordy and Loydeen Van Sickle
enjoyed a Sunday brunch out in observance of Helen’s birthday and Father’s Day.
Elwin
and Marilyn Valberg and their daughter, Julie Norman
returned to their Alabama
home after spending several days in Henry.
While here they prepared the home formerly owned and occupied by his
parents for sale.
On
Thursday evening, Fain and Roxanne Geiger celebrated their wedding anniversary
with supper out in Watertown.
Sunday
dinner guests at the Terry and Judy Kos home were Tom Kos, Omaha, NE, Brett and
Karen Henricks, John and Liz of rural Waverly and
Brian and Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown.
Sue
Mitchell and son, Ender of Watertown joined Deb LeTourneau and brother, Mike Pierce and sister, Susan
Parsons, and Josh O’Neill for a pizza lunch in Watertown on Saturday and celebrated Josh LeTourneau’s birthday. They later spent time at a Watertown park and then enjoyed a movie in Watertown.

Bruns of Lake
Preston spent the weekend
at the home of her grandparents, and father, Wendell and Alice Bruns and Ashley Bruns.
Don
and Rose McElroy spent the weekend in Sioux
Falls at the Dave McElroy home.
Cokey Johnson joined Jeff and Jamie Schaack
and family and Larry Johnson for dinner on Sunday at the rural Thomas home of
Ben and Ashley Johnson. Later Cokey visited her
mother, Agnes Opdahl in Hayti.
Monty
and Marcia Montgomery and family and Helen Van Sickle of Watertown enjoyed Sunday dinner out in
observance of Helen’s birthday and Father’s Day. Later they went to Helen’s house for birthday
cake. They were joined there by Caitlyn Dikoff of Mitchell, Linda Page, and Sena
Seifel and friend, Tyler of Watertown.
Spencer
and Hunter Wientjes spent Saturday at the home of their grandparents, Floyd and
Donna Kittelson.
Danny
and Bonita Sharp enjoyed a weekend of camping at Memorial Park at Lake Kampeska. They were joined by Joe, Nicole and Karli Sharp with their camper. Troy, Nicky Watson and girls visited them on
Saturday.
Joan
and Stephanie Boehnke attended the June meeting of
the Courier Classics 4-H Club in Clark Tuesday
night. Prior to the meeting, the members
cleaned road ditches.
Wendell
and Alice Bruns visited Violet
Winemiller at the care center in Clark
on Wednesday. Wendell called on her
again on Sunday morning.
Calvin
and Lois Schoepp were among family member that were
dinner guests at the Tom and Karen Miller home near Iroquois.
Kayla Burchatz
and friends, Lindsey and Lauren Jennings and Kami Konradi were Sunday evening visitors at the Floyd and Donna
Kittelson home.
Fain
and Roxanne Geiger were Sunday morning visitors at the Kelby
Goodall home.
LeRay and Andrea Swedeen and girls were
Sunday afternoon visitors at the Arlen Swedeen home.
Arlen also received a Father’s Day phone call from his son, Lindy who along
with his family, have moved to Sioux
Falls.
Gordy and Loydeen Van Sickle were Sunday
evening supper guests at the Mike and Shauna Lane home.
