Mark and Arlet Soderlund returned to Henry after a two week stay in St. Paul with Arlet’s mother, Leona Wicklander. Leona had the misfortune to fall and spent several days in intensive care.

 

Ashley Bruns and his mother, Alice drove to Mitchell on Friday and met Amber Bruns and her aunt, Andrea Meyer. Amber returned to Henry and will spend the long weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, Ashley and Amber joined Donna Bruns and daughters, Samantha and Sarah at the carnival in Watertown.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger were Thursday evening visitors at the Kelby and Toni Goodall home.

 

Donna Kittelson spent several days in Warner last week at the Dave and Jackie McNeil home.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp attended the high school graduation reception for Kyle Robinson in Watertown on Sunday afternoon.

 

Last Tuesday evening 11 members of the 2007 graduating class of Henry High School left for West Glacier Nation Park in Montana. They boarded the Amtrak train out of Grand Forks and arrived at their destination nearly 18 hours later, Wednesday evening.  While in Montana, they enjoyed white-water rafting, hiking, horseback riding and beautiful scenery. Seniors attending were Laura Eidsness, Stephanie Boehnke, Kristi Jankord, Blair Larson, Kaylah Felstet, Natasha Gassman, Dave Severson, Jordan Lukkes, Jordan Foster, Kyle Johnson and Jacob Burke.  Chaperones for the trip were Joan Boehnke and Brock Greenfield.  They returned home early Sunday morning.

 

Jerry and Carol O’Neill recently attended their granddaughter, Kylie Steen’s graduation from the RN school of USD.  The graduation was held at the D.D. Miller Auditorium in Watertown.

 

Ronnie and Peggy Bastian went to Minneapolis on Friday evening and helped Clay Bastian move his belongings back to Henry on Saturday.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger attended the wedding dance on Friday evening for Jerrin and Kayla Sulken in Watertown.

 

Donna Kittelson treated Evie Johnson to lunch on Friday in observance of her 90th birthday.

 

Michael Nelson completed his private pilot training this past week.  Mike began his flying lessons in 2006 in Watertown, SD.  Early in 2007 he transferred his training to Sioux Falls, SD where he went on to complete his classroom study and flight training.  On May 21, Mike passed the oral portion of the private pilot’s license exam and on May 23, 2007 he passed his “check ride” which is the flying portion of the exam.  Mike is now a certified private pilot.

 

Wendell and Alice Bruns visited his mother, Violet Winemiller at the Golden Living Center in Clark on Wednesday morning. Wendell visited her again on Sunday morning.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall and family were Saturday evening supper guests at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home.

 

Terry and Judy Kos visited the cemeteries in Strandburg on Saturday and later were coffee guests at the Wilbur and Marlys Johnson home.

 

Lois Schoepp was an evening coffee guest of Joan Warnock.

 

Wayne Blashill and Joe and Elsie Young were Saturday evening visitors of Treva Headley and of Lois Jean Lian in Garden City.

 

Danny and Carolyn Brooks of Nova, IL were weekend guests at the Rod and Cherie Jans home.

 

Terry and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner guests at the Brian and Kathy DeJong home in Watertown.  Connor DeJong returned to Henry with his grandparents and spent the evening.

 

Alice Bruns returned Amber Bruns to her home in Mitchell on Tuesday and went on to Murdo to spend a day with her sister, Ora Kent.

 

Maggie Hovde was a Friday overnight guest at the home of her grandparents, Floyd and Donna Kittelson.

 

Carol O’Neill attended the high school graduation reception of Kali Briggs, daughter of Ronnie and Jennifer Briggs.  The reception was held on Saturday at the Elk’s Lodge in Watertown.

 

Randy and Lynnette Pierce of Wamego, KS were Sunday evening supper guests of Ronnie and Peggy Bastian.

 

Bill and Jennifer Rasmussen were Sunday evening visitors at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home.

 

Joan Warnock spent last weekend in Holstein, IA and attended the high school graduation of her grandson, Jahred Baxter.

 

Bob and Betty Nelson of Des Moines, IA, Phyllis Kittelson of Watertown, Floyd and Donna Kittelson and Gilbert and Joan Kittelson were Sunday dinner guests at the Don and Ruth Roe at Hazel.

 

Mary McRoden, Barb Martinson and Pat and Irene Redmond had the pleasure of going to the Daniel McDonnell concert in Sioux Fall on Friday night.

 

Danny and Bonita Sharp and Joe, Nicole and Karli returned Monday after a weekend of camping at Memorial Park.  They were visited on Sunday by Nicky, Trinity and Taylor Watson, Cecelia Brownell and Betty Keyes.

 

Danny and Bonita Sharp attended the high school graduation reception for Jordan Mack on Sunday in Watertown.
