The
Henry United Methodist Women met at the Watertown
home of Deb Engels on Wednesday evening. Bonita Sharp gave the lesson based on
Mother’s Day. The June meeting will be
at the home of Rita Hoch.
Several
Henry and area residents attended the BJ Thomas concert in Watertown Friday evening.

Lake, Kelby Goodall and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed dinner out in Watertown on Tuesday.
Terry
and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner guests at the Bret and Karen home at rural
Waverly. Additional Mother’s Day guests
were Bev Henricks also of rural Waverly and Brian and
Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown.
Myron,
Diane, Kailey and Laura traveled to Mitchell on
Saturday to attend the Touchstone Scholar of the Year banquet held on the
campus of DWU. Laura Eidsness was a guest of honor at
the banquet.
Wednesday,
Wendell and Alice Bruns
moved Wendell’s mother, Violet Winemiller to the Golden Living
Center in Clark
from Wookey’s Assistant Living. Wendell visited her
several times this past week at her new location and Alice accompanied him on Sunday morning.
Tierra
Rhody of Clear
Lake was a Friday
overnight guest at the home of her grandparents, Fain and Roxanne Geiger. They
were joined on Saturday by Hayley and Travis Goodall.
Arlen,
John and Stephanie Boehnke treated Joan to dinner out
in Henry for Mother’s Day.
Deb
Engels entertained Diane Rider of Hazel, Barb Hartley,
Bonita Sharp, and Myrna Brenden
to coffee in her Derby Down’s home near Watertown
on Saturday morning.
Terry
and Judy Kos attended the graduation ceremonies at Waverly on Saturday. Their granddaughter, Elizabeth Henricks graduated from the eighth grade. Later the Kos’
attended the high school graduation reception for Jamie Gergen
at their farm home.

Lake treated Fain and Roxanne Geiger
to dinner out in Watertown
on Sunday. In the evening the Geigers were supper guests at the Kelby
Goodall home all in honor of Mother’s Day.
Kailey Eidsness was confirmed Sunday at Bethlehem Lutheran
Church in Vienna. Following the services, her parents,
Myron and Diane Eidsness hosted a dinner reception in
her honor. Guests attending the dinner were Jeff and Becky Barthel
and family of Watertown,
Ethan and Darlene Audus, Janet and Chantel Wren of Clark and Leif and Callie Eidsness.

Martenson and family of Aberdeen,
Dave and Carissa Quale and Maria of Volga, Pat and
Irene Redmond, Roger and Diann Redmond and family and
Dennis and Barb Martenson were among those attending
the graduation of Lisa Martenson from Northern State
University at Aberdeen on Saturday. The guests later attended a reception for
Lisa in Aberdeen.

Bonita Sharp to the Mother-Daughter Luncheon at the Garden City Methodist
Church on Saturday.

dinner in Henry.

Schoepp and Diane York of Watertown and Calvin and
Lois Schoepp enjoyed having Mother’s Day dinner out
in Watertown on Sunday.
Jerry
and Carol O’Neill attended the college graduation of their grandson Justin
O’Neill, son of Danny and Karrie O’Neill at Dakota
State University
in Madison on
Saturday. Following the graduation a reception luncheon was held in Sioux Falls.
Marcia,
Andrew and Sarah Montgomery took Monty Montgomery
to Sioux Falls on Saturday to the Sioux Falls airport where he boarded a plane for Florida. Monty will be
in attendance for his mother’s surgery. The Montgomerys
along with Helen Van Sickle, Linda Page and Brittny
and Nicky Page of Watertown and Lisa and Lexy Zandt
of Renner went on to Yankton to help a cousin celebrate a birthday. The Montgomerys and Helen Van Sickle and Linda Page had supper
in Sioux Falls Saturday evneing
before returning to Watertown
and Henry.
