Alma Gulbraa and Millie Holten of Watertown accompanied Sharon Burchatz to a Holten sister luncheon in Minneapolis Thursday. They were guests of Sylvia Holten while in Minneapolis. The ladies also attended the play “Over the Tavern” in Excelsior at the Old Log Theatre.

 

Joan Boehnke and her classes at Fordham took their field trip to Prairie Village in Madison on Friday.

 

Emily Bastian has returned to her Henry home after completing her freshman year at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell.

 

Hayley and Travis Goodall spent Tuesday at the home of Roxanne Geiger.  Additional Tuesday visitors were Alyssa Rhody of Clear Lake and Louie Gortmaker and Allen Odden of Miller.

 

Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown triangular track meet in Watertown on Tuesday and watched Jordon and Kayla Burchatz participate.

 

Rick Burchatz of Watertown and Ron Burchatz recently attended a fishing derby at Chamberlain. The men caught and released over seventy fish in the catch and release tournament. Unfortunately the men did not win any of the prizes.

 

Clay Bastian of Minneapolis was a weekend guest at the home of his parents, Ron and Peggy Bastian.  Amy Pierce of Minneapolis is presently residing at the Ron Bastian home.

 

Saturday, Monty Geiger of Faulkton took Marion and LeDene Geiger out to supper in Henry for an early Mother’s day.

 

Spencer and Hunter Wientjes of Clark spent Thursday afternoon at the home of Floyd and Donna Kittelson.

 

Sally Luvaas was a Wednesday morning caller at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home.

 

Alice Bruns attended the sixth grade Heritage Day display at Lake Preston on Thursday.

 

Shelly Root and Stephanie Pickrel of Watertown and Sharon Burchatz attended the Kelley Southwick and Jay Bublitz wedding at Holy Name Catholic church last Saturday.  Kelley is the daughter of Mark and Debra (Walraven) Southwick, and the granddaughter of Shirley “BurchatzBenthin.

 

Erin Bruns of Lake Preston spent the weekend with her grandparents, Wendell and Alice Bruns and her dad, Ashley Bruns.

 

Maggie Hovde of Vienna returned home with her parents, Mike and Cheryl Hovde on Saturday after being an overnight guest at the home of her grandparents, Floyd and Donna Kittelson.

 

Carol O’Neill was a Sunday afternoon caller at the Doris Coyle home and later attended the open house for the 25th anniversary for Earl land Marsi Rider at Derby Downs.

 

Alyssa Rhody of Clear Lake, Kelby Goodall and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed dinner out in Watertown on Thursday.

 

Matt and Missy Bastian of Milbank were Saturday overnight guests at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home.

 

Cokey Johnson attended funeral services for Larry Sour on Thursday at New Hope Lutheran Church, rural Hayti.

 

Ethan and Darlene Audus and Mike Audus of Clark celebrated Ethan’s birthday Sunday evening at the Myron and Diane Eidsness home.

 

Shannon and Donna Bruns and daughters were Sunday luncheon guests at the Wendell Bruns home. The families also celebrated the birthdays of Erin and Sarah Bruns.

 

Albert and Gail Kittelson and Terry and Judy Kos were among those attending the Spring Concert in Waverly Friday evening.

 

Wendell and Alice Bruns visited Violet Winemiller at Wookey’s ALC in Clark on Wednesday. Wendell also called on his mother again on Sunday.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Kelby and Toni Goodall home.

 

Paul Johnson was a Sunday afternoon visitor at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home.

 

Myron and Diane Eidsness attended the 25th anniversary open house for Earl and Marsi Rider on Sunday afternoon.

 

Rick and Lori Hyland and Ray and Esther Hyland of Ramona, Jenna Hartley of Watertown, Adam and Laci Hartley and family and Lynn and Barb Hartley enjoyed an early Mother’s Day supper in Henry Sunday evening.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp attended the practice rodeo at Huron on Sunday.  Their granddaughter, Casey Miller took part in the run.

 

Cheri Jans and Marcia Montgomery were Thursday luncheon guests at the Joan Warnock home.
