Eddie Maynard and Paul Johnson enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins baseball game with Virgil Bastian and Buck Bastian on Friday evening at the Buck Bastian home.

 

Tierra Rhody of Clear Lake spent Monday night at the home of Kelby and Toni Goodall and family. Tierra job shadowed Toni for a school project.

 

Vickie Burchatz of Watertown and Donna Kittelson attended the Triangular Track Meet at Watertown on Tuesday afternoon and watched Jordan and Kayla Burchatz participate. Aberdeen and Huron were the other two teams in the meet.

 

Arlen and Joan Boehnke attended the Henry School play Friday evening.  Stephanie was a member of the play cast.  They enjoyed supper in Henry after the play.

 

Myron and Diane Eidsness accompanied Laura Eidsness to Pierre on Monday for the 2007 Academic Excellence Recognition Luncheon with governor Michael Rounds.

 

Marie Hanson accompanied Don and Rose McElroy to the Air Force Band concert in Watertown on Tuesday evening.

 

Hayley and Travis Goodall spent Wednesday with their grandmother, Roxanne Geiger.

 

Glen and Mavis Hawkyard of Minneapolis, Mike and Muriel Larson and Lori Page enjoyed supper out in Henry on Saturday evening.

 

Joan and Stephanie Boehnke attended the wedding and reception for Cassi Schlagel and Daniel Bloom in Clark Saturday evening.

 

Terry and Judy Kos spent the weekend in Omaha, NE visiting their son, Tom Kos.

 

Myron, Diane and Kailey Eidsness attended the school play on Friday evening.

 

St. Henry’s Catholic Church honored their High School Seniors and First Communion young people on Sunday. The congregation enjoyed a pot luck dinner following the services.

 

Alyssa and Earl Rhody of Clear Lake, Kelby and Toni Goodall and Fain and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed an evening out on Friday evening.

 

The South Elrod cemetery association met at the Community Room on Saturday evening.

 

Peggy Bastian, Steph Raasch, Deb Hallauer, Paula Blue, Gail Kittelson, Jean Lane, Arlene Sharp and Judy Kos were among those that attended the annual women’s bowling league banquet in Clark on Wednesday evening.

 

Stephanie Boehnke attended her 4-H Junior Leaders’ meeting/work day in Clark Sunday afternoon.

 

Kelby and Toni Goodall and Fain and Roxanne Geiger had supper out in Watertown on Saturday evening and later attended the wedding dance for Justin and Amy Ulschmid.

 

Ron and Peggy Bastian attended the athletic and awards banquet Sunday on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell.

 

Lois Schoepp called on Lola Alexander at Wookey’s Assistant Living in Clark on Sunday. She also visited with Betty Keyes. The ladies also took part in the birthday celebration for Gladys Peterson at the center.

 

Hayley and Travis Goodall spent Friday night until Saturday evening with their grandparents, Kim and Deb Jorgenson in Watertown.

 

Helen Van Sickle and Linda Page were Sunday afternoon visitors and supper guests at the Monty and Marcia Montgomery home.

 

Donna Kittelson and Vickie Burchatz attended the Elmer Hansen Warrior Invitational Track Meet at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls on Saturday. Jordan Burchatz participated for the Watertown Arrows.

 

Bob Van Sickle of Watertown and Francis Strohfus, Monty Montgomery and Gordy Van Sickle returned Sunday afternoon after a weekend of hunting in the Black Hills.

 

The regular meeting of the 125th anniversary was held this past Wednesday in the Community Room.  The group has decided to meet twice a month until the celebration.  The next meeting will be on May 16th at the Community Room.

 

Irene Redmond called on Arlen Swedeen Wednesday afternoon and favored him with an angel food cake and strawberries.

 

Alice Bruns accompanied Ron and Doria Block to New London, IA on Thursday. Friday morning Alice went on to Roseville, IL and spent the weekend with another sister, Tom and Trudy Mitchell. Alice had the pleasure of singing a duet with her sister in the local Methodist Church on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon they drove back to New London, IA and had supper with a brother, Dave Johnson and wife, Linda. A neice, David and Michell Schadle and sons, were also supper guests. On Monday morning they returned to their South Dakota homes.
