Mr. and Mrs. Dave Brimer have returned to Henry for the summer after spending the winter in Arizona. Dave will be favoring us with kettle corn during the 125th celebration this summer.

 

Paul Myrick of Brandon was a Thursday evening overnight guest at the Terry and Judy Kos home.

 

Hayley and Travis Goodall spent Monday with their grandmother, Roxanne Geiger. The Geigers were later supper guests at the Kelby and Toni Goodall home.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp visited Jeanice Rasmussen at Prairie Lakes Hospital on Saturday evening.

 

Joan Boehnke attended the Technology in Education (TIE) Conference in Rapid City from Sunday until Tuesday.

 

Joan Warnock and Marcia Montgomery enjoyed tea at the Helen Van Sickle home in Watertown on Tuesday.  Marie Dally was an additional guest.

 

Arlen Swedeen was among Sunday dinner guests at the Bill Pickles home.

 

Tim Page drove to Rosholt on Thursday and watched Austin participate in the track meet.

 

Alice Bruns motored to Lake Preston Friday morning and picked up Erin Bruns who spent the weekend with her grandparents, Wendell and Alice Bruns and her father, Ashley Bruns. Erin returned to her home Sunday evening.

 

Members of the Henry High School have been busy rehearsing for the High School play, “The Butler Did It” to be presented Friday evening. Members of the Sophomore and Senior English classes went to Brookings on Friday for the SDSU showing of Macbeth.

 

Diane Eidsness attended the track meet in Hayti on Tuesday and watched her daughter, Kailey participate along with other Florence-Henry track members.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger and Kelby and Toni Goodall and family enjoyed supper out in Henry on Thursday in celebration of Kelby’s birthday.

 

Saturday morning, Vance and Irene McPeek from Mitchell came to Henry and rode with Wendell and Alice Bruns to Herman, MN to celebrate Wendell and Vance’s Aunt Dora Kramer’s 80th birthday.  On the way home they stopped in Watertown for supper out and were joined by Harland and Mary Bruns from rural Bruce.

 

The Henry United Methodist Women met at the church on Wednesday evening with Bonita Sharp as hostess.  The May meeting will be at the Derby Downs home of Debbie Engels.

 

Lois Schoepp called on Joan Warnock Friday evening.

 

Earl and Alyssa Rhody and Tierra of Clear Lake, Glenn Goodall of Aberdeen, Fain Geiger and Lynn Geiger spent Sunday at the Kelby Goodall home and helped him prepare forms for a new deck.  Roxanne Geiger joined the group later.

 

Terry and Judy Kos spent time this week at the Brett and Karen Henricks home at rural Waverly and assisted Karen who underwent shoulder surgery this week.

 

Don and Rose McElroy spent Saturday in Sioux Falls at the Dave and Becky McElroy home where they enjoyed playing with granddaughters, Mara and Brenna.

 

Kelly German of Kampeska and her foreign exchange guest and Lila Page of Watertown were Sunday afternoon guests at the Tim Page home.  The families enjoyed cake and coffee in celebration of Lila’s birthday.

 

Ron and Linda Stern were Sunday evening supper guests of Cassandra Stern.

 

Danny and Bonita Sharp were Monday coffee guests of Betty Keyes at Clark.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp were Sunday dinner guests at the Tom and Karen Miller home near Iroquois.

 

Donna Kittelson enjoyed watching the Grand March at Clark on Saturday evening.

 

Rodger, Jon and Matt Redmond and Pat Redmond attended the WW Wrestling meet that was held in Watertown on Saturday evening.

 

Wesley and Betty Holida of Naples were Sunday evening visitors at the Arlen Swedeen home.

 

Lucille Blashill and Rick Woehlhaff both of Garden City called at the Joe and Elsie Young home this week. Joe received good news from the doctor this week and that is he can began eating soft food.

 

Christie Bastian and Linda Page of Watertown and Marcia and Sarah Montgomery enjoyed watching Jane Seifel in the Watertown Grand March Saturday evening.
