Wendell Bruns visited his mother, Violet Winemiller at Wookey’s Assistant Living in Clark on Wednesday and again on Sunday.

 

Arlen, Joan, and Stephanie Boehnke attended the 50th anniversary celebration for Everett and Erlene Hanson on Saturday in Clark.  Later, Joan stopped in to wish Allen and Roberta Smith a happy 60th anniversary, also in Clark.

 

Dennis and Barb Martenson hosted a birthday supper on Sunday for Irene Redmond. Enjoying the evening were Pat Redmond,  Dave, Carissa and Maria Quale of Volga, Ryan, Lindsey, and Grace Martenson of Aberdeen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dunker of Wisconsin, Rodger and Diann Redmond and family, Joe Martenson and Lisa Martenson.

 

Donna Kittelson attended the volleyball game in Clark on Thursday evening and watched Bridget and Stephanie Wookey play ball.

 

Hayley Goodall spent Monday at the home of her grandmother, Roxanne Geiger.

 

Ben Hoffman of Brookings spent Monday at the home of his parents, Dan and Teri Hoffman.

 

Tom Kos and Beth Ricalefs of Omaha, NE arrived at the Terry Kos home on Friday evening and spent the weekend. Saturday, Karen, John and Liz Henricks, rural Waverly and Brian and Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown also visited at the Kos home.

 

Milo and Janice Kolden and Heath Hemmingson of Clark were Sunday evening supper guests at the Rod and Cherie Jans home.

 

Danny and Bonita Sharp spent the Labor Day weekend camping at Pickerel Lake.  They were joined by Joe, Nicole and Karli Sharp.

 

Weekend guests at the Ron and Peggy Bastian home were Eric Bastian, Spearfish, Kayla Parsons, Philip, Emily Bastian, Mitchell, Matt and Missey Bastian of Milbank, and Clay Bastian and Amy Pierce of Minneapolis.

 

Saturday evening, Wendell and Alice Bruns attended the Glacial Lake Motorcycle Rally pre-rally banquet at Dempsey’s in Watertown. On Sunday, Alice assisted with the rally registering and scoring.

 

 On Thursday, Mike and Lola Nelson flew from Sioux Falls to North Carolina to visit their daughter, Jessica and her family in Hope Mills, NC.  While in North Carolina, Jessica, Naomi, Mike and Lola traveled to Asheville, NC to tour the Biltmore Estate.  This estate is a major tourist attraction in North Carolina with a 175,000 square foot home that covers four acres and sits on 8,000 acres of real estate.

 

Sunday dinner guests at the Terry Kos home were Tom Kos and Beth Ricalefs of Omaha, Bret, Karen, John and Liz Henricks and Brian and Kathy DeJong and family.

 

Arlen, Joan and Stephanie Boehnke visited in the Adam and Laci Hartley home Sunday evening to meet Tate Robert, who was born this past Friday.

 

Roxanne Geiger called on Sally Luvaas Tuesday afternoon.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown Arrows and Pierre Governors’ football game on Friday evening in Watertown.  Their grandson, Jordan Burchatz is a member of the Arrow team.

 

Dr. Ed and Ann Larson of Watertown were Friday evening visitors at the Arlen Swedeen home.

 

Barb Martenson, Irene Redmond, Rodger and Diann Martenson, and Dave and Carissa Quale were among those attending the wedding of Jill Tschakert and Mike Houton in Florence on Saturday.

 

Following dinner out and sightseeing by Morris and Eleanor Van Sickle of Watertown, Calvin and Lois Schoepp and Doris Coyle, the group enjoyed visiting at the Van Sickle home.

 

Terry and Judy Kos spent Friday at the South Dakota State fair.

 

Shaina Winnett will return to work this week after being at home recovering from surgery.

 

Dale Peterson spent the weekend fishing with his grandson, Alec Heustess at the campsite of Alec’ parents, Charley and Nikki Heustess. Alec pleased his grandfather by catching his first fish.

 

Dan and Teri Hoffman spent Sunday in Brookings and enjoyed supper out with their son, Ben.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger spent Saturday in Sioux Falls. They were joined by the Rhody family from Clear Lake.  Tierra Rhody returned home with the Geigers and spent the evening.  Fain and Roxanne returned Tierra to her home on Sunday.
