Births:
A girl, Skylar Kay was born at 7:58 a.m. July 27, 2006 to Nathan
and Alexis Stern. Skylar weighs 8 pounds and is 20
inches long and joins a brother, Cooper. Grandparents are Ron and Linda Stern
of Henry and Perry Fisher and Jana Fisher of Watertown and great-grandparents are Virgil
and Lois Stern of Clark and Merlyn and Fern Goetsch
of Watertown.
A girl, Taylor Layne
was born July 28 at 8:30 p.m. to Troy
and Nicole Watson. Taylor
weighs 9 pounds ands is 21 inches long and joins a sister, Trinity at her
home. Her grandparents are Danny and
Bonita Sharp and Brian and Pam Hull of Tulare.
Great-grandparents are Betty Keyes of Clark
and Arlene Sharp of Henry.
DJ Hoffman, Cody Wookey and Spencer
Wientjes of Clark spent Wednesday at the Floyd
and Donna Kittelson home.
Joan Warnock was a Monday coffee guest of
Alice Bruns.
Barb and Jenna Hartley, Laci
Hartley and Aubrie and Anna Hartley of Garden City
attended a bridal shower for Lori Hartley on Saturday
Grace Lutheran
Church in Nunda, South Dakota.
On
Sunday, Ron and Linda Stern attended Cooper Stern, son of Nathan and Alexis
Stern, first birthday party at his home in Watertown.
Jerry and Marcia Swedeen
of Cambridge, MN were Friday afternoon visitors of Arlen Swedeen. In the
evening, they were all visitors at the LeRay Swedeen home.
On Saturday, Joan and Stephanie Boehnke worked in the lunch stand in Clark
during the 4-H Rodeo.
Marcia Montgomery and Doris Coyle were
Tuesday afternoon coffee guests at the Joan Warnock home.
James and Gail Heustess
of Oklahoma and Charles Heustess
of Anchorage, Alaska have returned to their homes after
visiting with relatives in Henry.
Kayla
Burchatz of Lake Pelican
spent several days with Donna Kittelson.
Trinity Watson was a Friday overnight guest
at the home of her grandparents, Danny and Bonita Sharp. On Saturday evening,
granddaughter, Karli Sharp spent the night with her
grandparents.
Terry and Judy Kos attended the Oak Ridge
Boys concert at Flandreau on Saturday evening.
Monty, Marcia and Sarah Montgomery watched
Andrew Montgomery play in a baseball tournament on Saturday at Foundation Field
in Watertown.
Wendell and Alice Bruns
visited with Violet Winemiller at Wookey’s
Assistant Living on Wednesday and Sunday morning.
Charlie, Nikki and Alec Heustess
of Watertown
were weekend visitors at the Dale and Teresa Peterson home.
Maggie Hovde of Vienna was a Friday night
overnight guest at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson
home.
Carissa Quale of Volga, Barb Martenson and Irene
Redmond attended the bridal of Vicki Wilkinson at St. Henry’s Catholic Church
in Henry on Saturday morning. Vicki will become the bride of Chad Dylla.
Terry and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner
guests at the Bret and Karen
Henricks home at
rural Waverly. Additional guests helping
to celebrate Judy’s birthday were Lyle and Bev Henricks
and Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown.
In the evening Terry and Judy were supper guests at the Wilbur and Marlys Johnson home in Strandburg.

of Watertown
accompanied Donna Kittelson and Maggie Hovde to the bridal shower of Vicki Wilkinson on Saturday
morning at St. Henry’s Catholic Church.

Goodall spent Wednesday with her grandmother, Roxanne
Geiger.
The community expresses sympathy to Rod Jans and his family upon the death of his mother, Irene Jans. Funeral services were held on Saturday at the
Assembly of God Church in Clark
Stephanie Nelson of Oklahoma was a Wednesday dinner guest of
Joan Warnock.
Gail Kittelson
and Donna Kittelson attended the wedding of Darla
Powell and Xiao Guang Jia
on Saturday afternoon at New Hope Lutheran Church
at Hayti and also the reception at the American
Legion in Watertown.
Helen Van Sickle, Linda Page, Lisa Van
Sickle and Jessica Van Sickle all of Watertown
and Marcia Montgomery enjoyed Sunday lunch together in Watertown.
Linda Isley of Carlisle, IA
spent Thursday and Friday night at the Rod and Cherie Jans
home. Several of Rod’s relatives also called at the Jans’
home during the weekend.
Wendell and Alice Bruns
went to Lake Preston on Friday and got Erin Bruns who spent the weekend with her grandparents. Erin’s father, Ashley visited at the Bruns
home on Saturday and Sunday.
