Samantha Bruns of Watertown spent Monday at the home of her grandparents, Wendell and Alice Bruns while her new sister, Sarah Ann was being born.

Aaron, Connie and Heath Hemmingson of rural Clark were Friday evening visitors at the Rod and Cherie Jans home.

Arlen and Joan Boehnke attended the Thrivent meeting and supper in Watertown on Tuesday evening.

Irene Redmond attended the Henry High School Award’s Banquet last Monday evening and enjoyed watching her grandson, Jon Redmond be inducted into the National Honor Society.

Tim, Lori and Austin Page joined Brett and April Flemming of Aurora and Adam Page for supper in Brookings on Friday evening.

Maggie Hovde of Vienna spent Wednesday with her grandmother, Donna Kittelson.

Gary and Marcia Kienholz of Sioux Falls were Saturday afternoon callers at the Rod and Cherie Jans home.

Mr. and Mrs. Synman of South Africa were Wednesday dinner guests at the Calvin and Lois Schoepp home.

Terry and Judy Kos were Sunday dinner guests at the rural Waverly home of Bret and Karen Henricks. Kathy, Kayla, Connor and Adam DeJong of Watertown were also dinner guests. The families celebrated an early Mother’s Day.

Erin Bruns of Lake Preston spent the weekend with her grandparents, Wendell and Alice Bruns.

Irene Redmond attended a bridal shower for Melissa Maag in Florence on Saturday afternoon.

Donna Kittelson treated Mary Hovde of Watertown to supper out in Watertown on Wednesday evening.

Hayley Goodall spent Wednesday with her grandmother, Roxanne Geiger.

Joan Boehnke and her students at Fordham took their field trip to Mitchell on Friday. They toured the Corn Palace, Doll Museum and Dakota Discovery Museum.

Rod and Cherie Jans were Sunday dinner guests at the Milo and Janice Kolden home in Clark.

Doris Coyle and Lois Schoepp called on Lola Alexander at Wookey’s Assistant Living in Clark on Saturday afternoon.

Donna Kittelson attended the production of, “The Legend of Sammy’s Swamp” at the Watertown Middle School on Thursday evening in which granddaughter, Kayla Burchatz took part.

St. Henry’s Catholic Church recognized graduating seniors, first communion and new members to the parish with a potluck dinner on Sunday.

The Henry United Methodist Women met on Wednesday evening at the home of Debbie Engels. Marge Alwin of the First United Methodist Church in Watertown was a guest of the ladies. Judy Kos gave the lesson based on Mother’s Day. The June meeting will be guest night and Marcia Montgomery will host the group at the church.

Marrion and LeDene Geiger, Lynn Geiger, Lisa Purintun, Matthew and Kellie, and Fain and Roxanne Geiger attended the 25th wedding anniversary of Monty and Jackie Geiger in Faulkton on Sunday. Fain and Roxanne Geiger went on to Miller and visited Roxanne’s parents, Louie and Mardella Gortmaker.

Cokey Johnson joined members of her family this past weekend and celebrated her mother, Agnes Opdahl’s 95th birthday in Hayti.

Donna Kittelson attended confirmation services at the Clark United Methodist Church on Sunday. Stephanie Wookey was a member of the class. Following the church services, Donna was a dinner guest at the Tom and Kathy Wookey home.

Doris Coyle visited Lucy Hoftiezer in Watertown on Sunday. In the evening, Sandy Hoftiezer joined them for supper out in Watertown.

Construction has begun on the addition to the Henry School. If all goes as planned the addition will house some of the grade school classes this fall.

If one is out walking or driving around town, take notice of the recent landscaping that has been done on the south side of the Community Building. Local resident, Dan Vache is displaying one of his many talents.
