Don and Rose McElroy returned to their home on Sunday after spending the weekend in Independence, Iowa visiting Rose’s brother and sister. They also visited their son, Bob McElroy of Waterloo, Iowa.

Marcia and Sarah Montgomery were Sunday dinner guests at the Linda Page home in Watertown. Helen Van Sickle was an additional dinner guest.

Hayley Goodall spent Thursday with her grandmother, Roxanne Geiger and after the end of the day her parents, Kelby and Toni Goodall joined them for supper.

Doris Coyle was a Sunday visitor at the Veryl and Sandy Hoftiezer home in Watertown.

Jessica and Madelynn Luvaas of Lennox, SD and Russell Luvaas of rural Willow Lake were Easter weekend guests at the Ken and Sally Luvaas home. Lauretta Luvaas of rural Bradley joined them for Sunday dinner and an afternoon of visiting. They all returned to their homes on Sunday evening.

Terry and Judy Kos attended the South Dakota Electrical Council Convention in Watertown Thursday through Saturday.

Joan Warnock returned to her home last Tuesday after spending several days at the home of Stephanie Nelson in Sallisaw, OK. Joining Steph and Joan for Easter dinner were Kaitlyn, Keri and Levi Nelson and Manne Bechtold of Shady Point, OK. On Monday they drove to Heavener, OK to Runestone Park to view a rock with runes carved by the Viking explorers over 1000 years ago was found and is on display.

Erin Bruns from Lake Preston spent the weekend with her grandparents, Wendell and Alice Bruns. On Saturday, Shannon, Donna and Samantha Bruns of Watertown came out for a cook out and brought birthday cake to celebrate an early birthday for Erin Bruns.

Kelby and Toni Goodall and Fain and Roxanne Geiger attended a departing supper for fellow employee, Laura Kennedy in Watertown on Friday evening.

Dave Page of Milbank, Ron and Kelly Page of Watertown, Tom Page and Adam Page of Brookings, Kirby Page of Iroquois, April Flemming, Aurora, and Tim, Lori and Austin Page took their mother, Lila Page out to dinner in Watertown on Saturday evening in celebration of her birthday.

Joan Boehnke attended the Technology in Education Conference in Sioux Falls from Sunday to Tuesday.

Ken and Sally Luvaas attended confirmation and Sunday services at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bradley and lunch following the service in honor of the confirmants. Later they enjoyed an afternoon touring the Pickerel Lake and Enemy Swim area.

Brian and Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown were Sunday evening visitors and supper guests at the Terry Kos home.

The Henry Fire Department received two calls on Sunday afternoon. The first call was to the rural acreage of Don Fryslie to assist at a grass fire. The second call was to assist the Florence Fire Department with a house fire several miles north of Florence, however they were summoned to return to Henry before they arrived as Florence had control of the fire.

Earl, Alyssa and Tierra Rhody of Clear Lake, Kelby and Toni Goodall and Fain and Roxanne Geiger enjoyed supper out in Henry on Saturday evening.

Ben Hoffman of Brookings accompanied his parents, Dan and Terri Hoffman to Jamestown, ND this past weekend to attend the wedding of Dan’s niece.

Funeral services were held in Watertown Monday for Frank Nelson. Frank was a 1949 graduate of Henry High School.

Cokey Johnson hosted several ladies at her home Monday evening.

Fain and Roxanne Geiger were Sunday evening visitors at the Ken and Sally Luvaas home.

Donna Kittelson attended the Springfling at the Watertown Middle School on Tuesday evening. Musical numbers were presented by  different musical groups within the school and a display of self drawn arts.

St. John's Circle of St. Henry's Catholic Church met on Wednesday afternoon at the home of Bonnie Dailey in Watertown.

Vicky Burchatz of Watertown and Donna Kittelson attended the Watoma Relays in Watertown on Friday afternoon.

Kathy, Kayla and Adam DeJong of Watertown accompanied Terry and Judy Kos to South Shore on Saturday evening to watch the High School Prom Grand March.

Vicky and Kayla Burchatz and Donna Kittelson attended the Clark Grand March on Saturday evening.
