Terry and Judy Kos attended the District One meeting of the South Dakota Municipal League in Clear Lake on Tuesday evening.

 

Hayley Goodall spent Monday with her grandmother, Roxanne Geiger.

 

Arlen and Joan Boehnke attended the Henry All-School play Friday evening.

 

Pat and Irene Redmond attended funeral services on Wednesday for former area resident, Ray McRoden. Services were held in Watertown.

 

Wendell and Alice Bruns journeyed to Lake Preston on Friday and picked up Erin Bruns who spent some time at her grandparent’s home in Henry.

 

The District United Methodist Women’s Focus Days was held at the Henry Methodist Church on Saturday. Several ladies from district UMW groups spent the day discussing issues of interest to women and enjoying a salad luncheon.

 

Lois Schoepp and Doris Coyle called on Lola Alexander at Wookey’s Assistant Living in Clark on Thursday afternoon.

 

Terry and Judy Kos attended a confirmation reception dinner for Jessica Green in LaBolt on Sunday.  Later in the afternoon they were coffee guests at the Wilbur and Marlys Johnson home in Strandburg.

 

Arlen and Joan Boehnke attended the chili feed/Bingo night at the Henry School Saturday evening.  Stephanie helped with the children’s games.

 

Roxanne Geiger visited Sally Luvaas on Tuesday afternoon.

 

Irene Redmond attended the Henry School play on Friday evening in which her grandson, Jon Redmond took part.

 

Adam and Laci Hartley and Brodie hosted Sunday evening supper to observe the 1st birthday of Aubrie Hartley.  Guests attending were Anna Hartley of Garden City, Bob and Bonnie Boehnke, Bonnie Redlin, Lee Sutton, Chad and Amy Redlin and girls, Wade Redlin and Jenna Hartley of Watertown, Lori Hartley of Nunda, Lynn and Barb Hartley, Arlen, Joan and Stephanie Boehnke.

 

Doris Coyle spent the weekend at the Veryl and Sandy Hoftiezer home in Watertown.

 

Alyssa and Tierra Rhody and Tiera Koppman of Clear Lake, Hayley Goodall and Fain and Roxanne Geiger spent Saturday in Miller visiting at the home of Louis and Mardella Gortmaker.

 

Penny Thyen of rural Waverly and Linda Mino hosted a bridal shower for Patty Kittelson Sunday afternoon at the St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Patty will become the bride of Keith Anderson.

 

Joel and Marcia Montgomery and family spent Saturday and Sunday in Sioux Falls where as State Commandant, Joel did the swearing in of the newly elected officers of the Marine Corps League. The Montgomerys also visited with Lisa Zandt and family at Renner.

 

Myron and Diane Eidsness and girls along with other area residents enjoyed helping Leif Eidsness observe his 85th birthday on Sunday afternoon.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger were Sunday morning visitors at the home of Chad and Lisa Purintun. In the afternoon they visited at the Marrion and LeDene Geiger home.

 

Local residents enjoyed seeing former residents Eevie Prahl and her daughter Elizabeth appear on Eye on KELO showing their enjoyment of working Sudoku.  The Prahls now reside in Sioux Falls and Elizabeth and her family live at Murdo.

 

Wendell Bruns called on his mother, Violet Winemiller at Wookey’s Assistant Living in Clark on Wednesday and Saturday.

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp were Sunday dinner guests at the Tom and Karen Miller home at rural Iroquois. 

 

Ed and Ann Larson of Watertown were Friday evening visitors of Arlen Swedeen.

 

Ryan, Lindsey and Grace Martenson of Redfield, Dave and Carissa Quale of Volga, Pat and Irene Redmond, Dennis and Barb Martenson, Joe and Lisa Martenson and Kurt and Dory Gassman enjoyed dinner out in Watertown Saturday evening.

 

Lynn and Barb Hartley attended a Saturday night banquet in observance of the 60th anniversary of the founding of Redlinger Brothers Plumbing and Heating Company.

 

Bonita Sharp and her mother, Betty Keyes of Clark were Sunday afternoon coffee guests at the Louis and Joyce Brush home in Clark. Dawn Brush of Aberdeen was an additional guest.

 

 On Saturday afternoon, Tim, Lori and Austin attended the open house baby shower for the expected baby of Mike and Gina Hemphill at the Kirby and June Page home at Iroquois.

 

Sunday afternoon, Floyd Kittelson attended the birthday celebration for Leif Eidsness.

 

 On Sunday, Irene Redmond attended the 60th wedding anniversary for her cousins, Francis and Jean DeVine at 200 Maple Place in Watertown.  Later she called on Pearl Riley at Evergreen Assisted Living.

 

Arlen Swedeen was a Sunday afternoon caller at the LeRay Swedeen home.
