Henry News – February 13, 2006

 

Terry and Judy Kos attended a South Dakota Electrical Council planning committee meeting in Watertown on Tuesday evening.

 

The Henry United Methodist Women met at the home of Bonita Sharp on Wednesday evening.  Diane Kludt presented the lesson on “Hope”. The ladies brought hand towels for the health kits.  The March meeting will be at the home of Kim Vache with wash cloths the item for the health kits.

 

Gordon and Loydeen Van Sickle returned this past week from a weeks vacation visit to Arizona.  They were guests of Don and Monica Keyes and spent one night at the home of Roma Rawlins. They enjoyed a trip into Mexico and several other sight seeing tours.

 

Rodger and Diane Redmond and Irene Redmond attended the boy’s basketball game at Revillo on Thursday evening.

 

Basketball games keep Donna and Floyd Kittelson busy with grandchildren participating on several different teams. Monday evening Donna attended the Watertown 8th grade girl’s game against Brandon Valley and watched Kayla Burchatz play. Tuesday evening Floyd and Donna attended the Watertown/Roosevelt game that Jordan Burchatz played in. Thursday evening, Kathy Wookey of Clark and Cheryl Hovde of rural Vienna accompanied the Kittelsons to Warner and watched the Clark Comets play Warner. Friday evening, Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the lasagna supper in Willow Lake sponsored by the youth of Prairie Star Lutheran Parish before watching their grandson, Zach Hovde play on the Willow Lake team.

 

Lois Schoepp called on Cherie Jans Wednesday evening.

 

Hayley Goodall was a Wednesday visitor at the Fain Geiger home.  In the evening, Kelby and Toni Goodall joined them for supper.

 

Cokey Johnson called on her mother, Agnes Opdahl at Hayti on Sunday afternoon.

 

Rae Hamner, Wheaton, MN, Larry and Sandy Keyes and Marcia Stanley of Watertown, Betty Keyes and Arlene Keyes of Clark and Danny and Bonita Sharp met in Henry for supper on Saturday evening.

 

Dick O’Neill and Jerry and Carol O’Neill spent a recent long weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jim and Donna O’Neill met them there and they enjoyed time together.

 

Judy Kos attended funeral services for a former classmate, Don Hawkins, in Watertown on Saturday afternoon.

 

Ryan, Lindsey and Grace Martenson of Redfield, Pat and Irene Redmond and Lisa Martenson were Sunday dinner guests at the Dennis Martenson home.

 

Alyssa Rhody of Clear Lake was a Monday afternoon visitor at the Fain and Roxanne Geiger home.

 

Hunter Wientjes of Clark spent Sunday afternoon at the Floyd Kittelson home. Bryan and Cindy Hunter were later supper guests at the Kittelson home.

 

Rod and Cherie Jans attended the Dacotah Bank’s Valentine supper in Willow Lake Saturday evening.

 

Adam DeJong returned to his Watertown home on Friday evening after being a Thursday overnight guest at the home of his grandparents, Terry and Judy Kos.

 

Fain and Roxanne Geiger and Kelby, Toni and Hayley Goodall attended the Watertown Farm Show on Saturday.

Cleo Biberdorf passed away after the news was published.  Her funeral is Saturday at 10:30 in Watertown.

Ilene Paulsen will be observing her 85th birthday on Saturday in Watertown.

There will be  a baby shower for Maria Quale ( granddaughter  of Dennis and Barb Martinson and great granddaughter of Pat and Irene Redmond on Saturday in Henry.
