Henry News – January 30, 2006

 

 

Calvin and Lois Schoepp were among the invited guests to the Harold Hansen home last week for supper.  Their name was inadvertently omitted in last week’s news.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Clark/DeSmet girl’s basketball game in Clark last Monday evening.

 

Mary and Tom Cypher called on Charlotte Dagel Friday morning.

 

Tim and Lori Page attended the Sioux Valley Clinic annual Christmas party Friday evening at the Watertown Event Center.

 

Several parents and sports fans attended the St. Martin’s Junior High Basketball tournament in Watertown on Saturday where the Henry boys and the girls each received third place.

 

Hunter Wientjes spent Tuesday afternoon and evening at the home of his grandparents, Floyd and Donna Kittelson.

 

Tom Kos and Beth Ricalefs of Omaha, NB spent the weekend at the Terry Kos home and took in several sporting events.  On Friday evening they attended the basketball game at South Shore and watched Tom’s niece, Liz Henricks play ball, on Saturday afternoon they watched nephew, Connor DeJong wrestle at Clark in the afternoon and in the afternoon they watched nephew, John Henricks play basketball at Waverly. The returned to their Omaha homes on Sunday afternoon.

 

Lori Hartley of Nunda was a weekend visitor at the Lynn Hartley home.

 

Myrna Brenden, Jared and Dylan Brenden and Julie Doucette went to Florence on Sunday and helped Zachery Grygiel celebrate his tenth birthday.  Addition guests were Tom and Sheri Sumner and family and Pat and Jolene Grygiel.

 

Doris Coyle was a Saturday dinner guest at the Calvin Schoepp home.

 

Floyd and Donna Kittelson watched Cody Wookey’s basketball game at Hayti on Thursday afternoon and later attended the Clark Junior varsity basketball game and varsity game against Hamlin at the Education Center near Hayti.

 

Terry Kos attended the wrestling meet in DeSmet on Friday evening. Connor DeJong of Watertown returned home with him and spent the evening.

 

 Morris and Eleanor Van Sickle of Watertown and Calvin and Lois Schoepp and Doris Coyle enjoyed dinner out in Watertown on Sunday.

 

Barb and Lori Hartley called Saturday at the homes of Randy and Carol Wiedebush at Mansfield, Mike and Mandy Lodmel at Warner and later attended the basketball game at Aberdeen Roncalli with Warner. Kelli Wiedebush is a member of the Warner team.

 

Sunday dinner guests at the Terry Kos home were Tom Kos and Beth Ricalefs of Omaha, Bret and Karen Henricks, John and Liz, rural Waverly and Brian and Kathy DeJong and family of Watertown. The families celebrated the January birthdays of Karen, Tom and Beth.

 

Maggie Hovde of rural Vienna and Kayla Burchatz of Lake Pelican spent the weekend at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home.

 

Donna Kittelson spent several days at the Dave and Jackie McNeil home in Warner.
