Hey Everyone,

How’s it going back in the states? Everything is about the same here.

It sounds like I might be going back to supply to work instead of going out to pull tower guard. I guess I have mixed feelings on the change ... tower guard is pretty lazy just a lot of sitting around watching. That’s about the only thing that is good about tower guard ... that it isn’t a whole lot of work. But the days tend to drag on after a while.

The good thing about going back to supply is I will be constantly busy…the days will fly by but the bad thing is I won’t be leaving this camp until we leave for good … after a while it feels like you're trapped … oh well.  The reason I’m getting to go back to supply is because we have to start inventorying and packing stuff to send to the states. Another reason I’m going back to supply is because everyone is coming back from R&R so the spots that support guys are filling because of shortages are starting to get filled up again.

On December 1st we made the switch to the 3:00 to 11:00(pm) shift, we were on the 7:00 to 3:00 shift … I’m looking forward to the new shift but I doubt ill be on it long because of the supply thing. Its December 2 today its my day off … the last one I had was 10 days ago.  I had a ton of stuff to catch up on…so it was a pretty busy day.

The camp I’m at has a Burger King, Pizza Hut, and a little Italian restaurant ran by the Italians. I have only ate at pizza hut once since I have lived in Camp Tallil, but I eat at the Italian place quite a bit they have the best pizza EVER and its only $5…it’s a great deal. The new chow hall opened about half a month ago and I have only ate there once … its nothing special the food is the same just a lot better facility than the other chow hall.

Its been really calm here the past 2 weeks … always a good thing. I sent 7 new pictures to the Henry web site. There is one of me and Donnie, me and some of the Iraqi guys from our Karbala mission, and a few others, the address to the web site its http://www.henrysd.com/. Here is another site I’m on http://www.ksfy.com/Stories/Story.cfm?SID=851  ... one of my friends from Sisseton put us on it.

I finally got the room completely decorated for Christmas … I added some candy canes to the Christmas tree plus I hung a few more decorations up, I would have to say It looks pretty good. Overall everything is going (ok) here, it seems like the days are just flying by and i'll be seeing you all real soon.

Talk to you later,

Benny

p.s. November last year is when we first heard we were getting deployed…….December 18 was our first day of active duty………..but our first day in Kuwait was January 29th (the day that really matters to the guys who decide when we go home is the Jan. one)
