Hey Everyone

Well it’s been a pretty interesting 3 weeks back. I’ve been on the road for about a week and a half and the other week and a half I have been on light duty or on bed rest. About a week after returning I caught a real bad head cold that forced me to take a few days off.

I also paid a visit to the dentist which was nothing short of a great time. He informed me that I had to get one of my wisdom teeth pulled along with 3 fillings. I was really nervous about getting my tooth pulled, the first time I had some wisdom teeth pulled I got a bad case of dry socket along with a cheek that swelled up beyond belief. The dentist took about 45 min. taking the one tooth out, I was awake the whole time and heard some pretty gruesome sounds after it was done he gave me some pain killers and sent me on my way. That evening when the Novocain wore off I took one pain killer then went to bed, the next morning I woke up with no swelling and there was no pain what so ever. I was pretty pleased it went so well, I only have one wisdom tooth left, he wanted to pull that one to but its to far up in the bone and its growing in horizontally pushing on the root of my molar, he advised me to have it removed once I get back to country.

The weather has been really cool in the mornings and doesn’t get that hot any more during the day so it’s been really nice lately. The plans for us to change missions fell through, the unit that was suppose to replace us didn’t even know about it, plus they are stationed in Kuwait and under a different command since there in Kuwait.

The plans for us to move to the new camp also have been backed up, there was an issue with the sewage from the shower trailers not being able to drain so they had to raise the trailers 4 in. It sounds like the move will be taking place sometime after the 26. My mailing address will not change because of the move, I did have that confirmed. In the new trailers were moving into I will have one roommate, His name is Brandon Friericks…..he’s probably my best friend over here; he also attends SDSU….we plan on getting an apartment together once we get back. The date that we have been told we can look forward to leaving Iraq and Kuwait is January 30, it sounds like we were put in for an extension but it hasn’t been approved yet and it also sounds like its not going to be……but well see what happens. That’s all I really have right now other that the dentist and getting back into a routine its been pretty boring….same old stuff just a different day.
